I don't know if the HE-5 is different from other Hifimans but I have never been successful at lowering the 1kHz area. I can bump bass and treble but that straight line from 20Hz to 1kHz is more or less always there. impressive work by LFF!

I believe LFF used MrSpeakers' Alpha Dog Pads. The L / R matching is extremely good, given the nature of these thicker pads which makes measurement consistency difficult.

I got to listen to @brencho's Code X at Can Jam on the Ragnarok. It was tied with the Abyss V2 for the best thing I heard at the show. There was some German company (can't remember the name) at the show that measured them as well and they seemed pretty impressed. "Ja, das ist a very gut frequency response" translates to, "Holy shit balls, these things are amazing" in American.

These are @brencho's pair. They are an easy listen. @Hands would approve.

I put on some ZMF lambskin pads on my CodeX (the ones measured by Merverino). Cause f**k seƱor espeaker but the same is true of the ZMF ones in terms of thickness.

Thanks for that bit of information. I might have to pick up a pair to mess with.
