Here for EU is the iFi Audio iDSD. Limited spots available, open only to members who have previous history of leaving impressions.

Standard EU procedures: insure for 1500€, DHL/FedEx/UPS only, signature release.

For 2500€ insurance I'll pass. That's around 150-200£ in shipping and I see two outcomes
    1. I like it though not enough to replace my Pavane and I'll pay too much to provide free marketing to iFi when few to none SBAF member will be interested when Yggdrasil is already best in class.
    2. I don't like it and I've wasted shipping when I could have spent the money on coloured spirits.

UPS is much more reasonable when it comes to insurance of high-value items.

I copied the procedure based on precedence; let me check to see if UPS is fine.

I am really interested. I'm from the Netherlands. I am looking for a new DAC, preferable with pre-amp function to replace my Audio Note DAC 4.1x. I recently owned a Metrum Jade, which I liked a lot, but not completely "did it" for me. I have given some impressios on here where I did compare it to NAD M12 which I also had before. No problem to write my impressions from this one. I can also compare streaming Roon via my Metrum Ambre to iDAC Pro or streaming Roon directly to iDAC Pro.

Where can I find the "rules" for this EU loaner program? To which country does this need to be shipped after the "testing"? How long can I use it?

    Thanks,

    Mark.

Updated OP to allow for UPS.

Read this and this. Standard length of loaner (unless specified otherwise) is 5 days per person. Loaner tour order is determined by the gearmaster (me).

Just letting you know, the chances of you getting in on a loaner program is pretty much nonexistent unless you have at least contributor status (friends are preferred). The loaners offered here on SBAF are a privilege and there are certain expectations in place. Let us get to know you first.

That would be a pitty.. I think I have quite some experience with other DAC's in similar price range and I could share my experiece with the members on SBAF.

Doing a lot of posts on the forum, which I hardly can find time for, could classify me for being able to enter the loaner program? Can't see the a logical reason for this, it doesn't change my capability to write a decent review....

Hope there is some possibility for me to enter the loaner program, as the ifi is also on my shortlist for candidates as being my future DAC. Please let me know what I need to do to be.

    Regards,

    Mark.

Your capabilities to review a product/leave impressions have nothing to do with this. All I'm saying is that you don't walk into a bar (or pub) and immediately spout off about how awesome you are. You get to know the regulars first and then see what you can contribute to the community. Same applies here; tons of posts aren't required to get friend status. Neither is being here a long time.

It's pretty clear to me that you haven't read the "What is SBAF" thread that every person who joins should (and since you seem pretty insistent upon reviews, also read this. Read the other impressions posted here by senior members to get a feel of the information we put here.). And while you're at it, introduce yourself here.

Trying to hop on a loaner within your first few posts is just not going to happen. I'm not trying to be mean, but would you lend expensive gear out to a complete stranger? I know I wouldn't.

Do a lot of HIGH-VALUE posts. If the forum as a whole also consider them valuable, you will be a "friend" some day, typically after months or years. Then you can enter various loaner programs.

Keep in mind that important keywords are "trust" and "higher-order thought" -- along with proofs.

If you can't see a logical reason for this, I sincerely recommend you to quit this community.
