Loaner: Cayin RU-6 R2R & Lotoo Paw S1 dongles

Loaners received from @Azimuth

Paw S1 is complete in Box. RU6 is just unit only and the USB-C to Lightning Cable is included.

 

That is everything I received and note in a complete cardboard box for safer shipping.

 

Does the S1 have two cables with it, inc. the lightning one? (there should be two Lotoo boxes, one for the S1 and another for the additional cable).

 

No.

When I received the package from @dematted it was:

• S1 box
• S1
• Lotoo USB-C cable
• Lotoo USB-A /Mini to USB-C adapter
• Lotoo paperwork
• Cayin RU6
• Lightning to USB-C male cable (4" in length, unbranded, black)

Everything was in a bubble envelope with the RU6 and lighting cable floating around in the envelope. All the S1 box looked fine. I put everything in a cardboard box with padding when I sent to @YMO.

Thanks @Azimuth. I included with the S1 a Lotoo Type-C OTG Cable For PAW S1: Type-C to Lightning in its own box.

I'm pretty sure @yotacowboy included a lightning cable with his RU-6.

@dematted, do you have one of the lightning cables and the box it came in?

 

That's correct. No worries over spilt milk, but just so anyone on the loaner tour knows they'll need to supply their own.

 

To be clear, then, there should be two USB-C to lightning cables in this loaner tour. My Cayin one was also in its own box.

It would be nice to have everything returned at the end of the tour. And everything should be returned in the same condition it was sent out in. I'm surprised this needs to be stated.

 

From what I received there is only one USB-C to Lightning cable.

 

So @dematted is going to donate $50 to SBAF as compensation for loosing the items from this personal loaner. He offered to give it to @yotacowboy to make up for it but Clay deferred to a donation instead.

Just a heads up that there are consequences for loosing loaners, especially personal loaners. This is all based on trust here guys.

But sometimes we all mess up. @dematted has made an effort to make this right and I hope we can be understanding of that as well. What we need to worry about is people who loose stuff and blame others and don't take responsibility. If @dematted lost these he would have replaced them.

So hopefully we can move on knowing it was just a mistake, and amends were made. The $50 will go back into my funds for the loaner program here. Shipping items and buying new items.
