Loaner: Drop HD8XX V2

I just received the 2nd loaner from @ChaChaRealSmooth. Unfortunately, I started having some respiratory symptoms a few days ago (working in a pediatric hospital during respiratory season will do that). Even though I'm vaccinated and didn't have any known COVID exposures at work, I'm still being tested for COVID and should get the results back tomorrow. I haven't opened the headphones yet, and I was going to wait until I knew the results of the test. If it is negative I'll open the box and proceed with the loaner; if it is positive, then I'll keep the box sealed and ship it to @Joshvar, probably after I'm out of quarantine. Is that okay with everyone? I want to make sure I'm being safe.

 

Glad you're being thoughtful of others and taking proper precautions. I'm hoping for the best possible outcome from the test results and hope you feel better!

 

Yes, takethe extra time and wait until your test results come back before your loaner period starts.

 

There is already a V2 version of Drop HD8XX?
Or does V2 mean something else?

@rhythmdevils I'm interested in checking these out if the opportunity still exists.

 

I am negative for COVID, so I'll proceed with the loaner. I do have RSV (which is one of the viruses that causes the common cold), so I'll make sure to wash my hands before and after handling the headphones, and I'll also wear a mask while handling them to limit droplet spread.

 

All the viruses wil die in shipping don’t worry about it.

@rhythmdevils I never got much sicker than the 'slightly icky feeling' stage and feel pretty much 100% now. So please count me in again! Whether I get bumped back up or stay where I'm currently is fine with me, but I'll be going out of town for Thanksgiving for 10 days or so.

 

I don’t know how to work around vacations the timing is too unpredictable. Please just monitor the progress and if you’ll be out of town pm me or tag me @rhythmdevils snd let me know.

Apologies - the (nicer) inner box fell off of my desk and acquired some damage. Luckily headphones were on my head, but just FYI for future recipients. Happy to cover any costs/depreciation/whatever via donation next time I make one.

 

Received Unit #1 today from @roshambo123.

The headphones are fine, but unfortunately the outer box arrived slightly crushed, which also caused some damage to the lid of the sennheiser headphone box. That looks like something I can repair/reinforce with some tape for the next person. I'll also ship out in a new outer box. Will that work @rhythmdevils?
