Also keep in mind some loaner gear will be in very high demand. Let's say for example we have a headphone that is on the loaner program with 15 people on the list (That would be something I would consider low to mid-low demand) and each of those people only had the loaner for 1 week (which would be nice if it was a little longer but we'll keep it simple for now). If there is 15 people on the list at 1 week each plus say 3-5 days in between delivering to the next person on the list, the headphones in this example would take around 20 weeks (or around 5 months) just to get through 15 people. During that cycle we may have more people sign up that may get interested in that particular headphone. So one cycle, with only about 10-15 people on the list would take close to half a year when including the 3-to 5 days of shipping time between each person (maybe 2-3 days if using priority mail).

Now imagine if it was a Yggdrasil, Gungnir Multibit, or Bifrost Multibit - the list I imagine would be very long. Maybe over a year before it made it through 1 cycle of loaner members, and the list would no doubt grow as more and more people post their impressions (unless the item on loaner sucked or something). SO imagine after a loaner being on tour and being shipped all over the country for a year or more then trying to sell it - something we have to think about as well.

A very good idea to try to get some money back, but some gear we acquire will no doubt end up cult favorites that would be best to hang on to - guess it depends on the gear. If it the loaner is a "site" loaner (which I am referring to here, not a member loaner - which is much different) then I would say it would be up to the weapon's master to decide or maybe even have a vote to keep a loaner item, or to sell it if interest on it dies down - then use the money to invest on different pieces of loaner gear. I guess my point is, selling it, if possible, would be ideal if the item after making it's rounds if it's still in good condition and use the money for new gear or other site/member needs.

EDIT: And of course purrin comes up with the best answer before I can even finish writing my post. I just wasted 10 minutes of typing a post that purrin answered in less than a minute. Thanks purrin.
