These sound really great. Imaging and instrument separation is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Clarity is really good, though I bet there are a lot of really good box speakers there too that might beat these there. But on imaging and separation, I dare say this is probably as good as it gets. I've only heard different systems on audio meets, mostly high end b&w, kef, etc briefly and a two way tad setup that my friend has, so I'm far from experienced in that regard. I've heared my own diy box amps and studio monitors, krk, kurzweils, and these absolutelly destroy them, it's a massacre.

Check the comment section there. Two guys raising concerns about using wood for chassis and some other things. I agree it's suboptimal but somehow doubt that "it'll burn the house down". I might put it in metal down the road, maybe. Heatsinks for the upper amps are room temp, lower ones very slightly warm after 5 hours of playing so...

they know not of what they speak :)

Many amps use wood chassis , key is not to have it furnace hot , above room temp is nothing to worry about.

torroids - you can place them next to each other , on top of one another .... shielding helps with noise but if your amps are not noisy then do not let their audionervosa trouble you.

    Great work on the speakers

Wooden casework isn't optimum in terms of shielding, but as fire hazard... if it does catch fire, it's not the case where you royally effed up.

As for trafos being put side by side... meh, you can always turn them, if you get hum issues.

This is a sweep test recorded through RTA mode from REW from my sitting position, both channels. Seems good to me. That 50 Hz notch doesn't particularily bother me.

Room is 8.3 x 4.1m, ceiling is 2.53 at highest, but there is that problematic roof angle that I worried about. Phantom scene is still fine anyway.
