Starting a 'heavier' rock subthread here.

Styles to give the general direction: Metal, Hard rock, Prog, Sludge, Stoner aka Desert rock, Hardcore.

I welcome people to post here, listen and share their thoughts about the genre etc.

    Updated.

P.S Recommendation. Please don't visit this thread if you don't post here or aren't interacting. If you don't "understand" metal or aren't a metalhead why be here? This isn't your radiostation or can be and it is free basically. No one gains or wants to gain anything here. This is were metalheads meet. A couple of people only.

No one listens to metal to try to relate to their feelings or try to empathize with it like a child. This art, there is no message or it is in your mind. Respect whatever art you are seeing, hearing, or are a part of. Some people like to learn about the history and some people like to listen to metal.

You might want to check out that Mastodon with a Coroner.

I'm new here. Haven't introduced myself yet, but wanted to share this, as I'm so excited for this new album.

Welcome to SBAF! New Pallbearer is really good, you won't be disappointed. If you like that kind of music, listen to the debut album by Wormwood, quite sensational

Still can't believe how badly they screwed up during the real performance, this was the first time I actually sat down to watch a Grammy.

The rehearsal video posted above my post sounds better. In the live version Hetfield's mic was turned off.

Anyone here has heard of Carbomb? I recently discovered them through bandcamp and their new album rocks. Not exactly my style, but the mastering and recording quality is better than your average metal recording.

    Check them out.

Btw, I use the flack 24bit/192k version of this track in my "does it do Metal?" Test.
