Hi, i have a pair of HD800 and i I use them for my work (VR) mainly, but unfortunately i need to move and they never stay put on my head because of the low clamping, they keep moving when i move my head. And it's even worse when i move my body, they litteraly fall of my head if i move too much.

I wanted to know if someone has an idea to make the HD800 stable so it won't move, like a band or something ? It's a big issue for me and it's unfortunate because they are the best headphones soundwise for this use, and many of you have great knowledge about the HD800 and even headphone modding in general

    thanks

How do you store the HD800's when they are not being used?

The only thing I could see you doing is A) trying to bend the headband so that the earpads move more towards each other, or B) using a different, custom headband

Oh I understand, i think my explication was not really precise enough, for normal use the clamping is perfect, it's when i begin to use them for VR that the problem begins since you need to move your head

The HD800 have little clamping force, so I think you may have only a few options:
    1) Get a modified headband of some type to increase clamping
    2) Bend the current headband - though I doubt this would work too well
    3) Use different headphones (e.g. HD650) that have much greater clamping force

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, none of these solutions are viable for me, but i found an interesting way to add clamping by wearing a beanie. Headset doesn't really move anymore, and i think by using a headband it can be even better. It looks a little bit goofy but it's worth it, and i kinda like how the added clamping feels

I'm sure probably nobody will need this, but this may help someone

On a side note, has anyone tried bending the HD800's headband? I tried doing it with the HD700 and it absolutely would not bend at all, it always returned to its original shape.
