Seems like you can sign up for a month of Sondiz and use it to transfer in one shot.
But this is based on reading the info in the link in a couple of minutes. $4.50 a month for Sondiz

This is for transferring either purchased albums or albums in your wishlist to a streaming service. I'm looking for a way to download all my purchased albums to my computer all at once instead of having to go through and download each album one at a time.

I only buy albums that aren't available on Tidal because I'm such a music whore that there are enough albums not on Tidal to fulfill my music budget. I've got quite a bit of music purchased at this point and I'd really like to get it onto my Pi2AES so I can listen to it on my main rig. But I can't imagine downloading each album individually.

I really wish Tidal would allow you to upload music you've purchased elsewhere that isn't available on Tidal for personal streaming.

How do people here who subscribe to Apple Music or Amazon music stream? I don't really get it and it seems like it is in the company's best interest to allow UPNP so streamers could access their service and more people could use the services and subscribe. I only use them for music discovery which is hardly worth the cost.

Apple Music is on device for me only. Mainly with AirPods Pro 2 to get the Dolby Atmos mixes. I use Qobuz through Roon to stream to my DAC. Put together a family plan so the cost is vanishingly low.

If Apple Music were your only service, you'd basically have to use AirPlay and just accept its limitations.

I use Amazon, and I stream bit-perfect (though I am not sure how important that is) from my M11 pro directly into my 'phones, and also via s/pdif to Gungnir or modius e and to various amps downstream of the dacs. I do the same with the Node 2i to all of the same dac amp combos, plus the internal dac of the Node, which I really only use for TV, though I did once access Amazon Music through my Roku TV via toslink to the Gungnir, but only once. Not because it sucked, just because I have numerous better options. But I think it's entirely possible that I did not understand the question. Feel free to inquire further if you have a more specific question.

What do you take spdif out of? Some streamer must be involved and you use usb out of the Mac? I guess that is the future of streaming. Having to use a computer instead of a raspberry pi and using usb.

The Node and m11 pro both have electrical s/pdif outs, so i would never need to use a tablet or a pc for music playback, but I still do occasionally. With either I usually use a dac/amp like my L&P w2, or the fiio ka3. In the case of the pc, the Amazon app has no automatic sample rate conversion, so the playback rate is determined by the setting in Windows, my tablet and phone do the Android thing where everything is played back at 24/48. I don't want to clog up this thread, so feel free to msg me with other questions should you have any. I'm glad to help.

The M11 Pro actually does bitperfect output for Amazon? I know many Android DAPs have trouble with Amazon.

That's how the device reports it. I have no way to check that other than the Amazon app itself. And fiio makes that claim as well.

I don't think it's' derailing the thread because it's bout how to stream music from Amazon music. Your experience is really valuable to everyone here.

So you use a DAP the Fiio M11 Pro as you main source for music listening?

it's really a shame there's no way to get UPNP out of these major streaming services. it's buggy but it is way better than Airplay and I don't want to use a DAP to control my music streaming. I want a decked out streamer :)

I'd say my main source in terms of time used is the Node 2i. Ninety-five percent of my time with speakers is Node》Gungnir MB A2》Freya S》Emotiva A150. I use the M11 Pro as a streamer around the house with earphones but I don't use the s/pdif out as much as I did before I got the Node.

But I always use an outboard dac with the Node, mostly Gungnir. I don't have a lot of money so value was important, and I wanted to stay with Amazon, so it was the obvious choice for me. I have never had another streamer, so no points of comparison, but I think the whole chain sounds great for the spend. A Vidar and a set of scm-19s and I think I'd be done with my speaker set up. Good enough for me at least. I have very few issues streaming with either the m11 or the Node, whether via Amazon or my local library.

Picking a passing hair (whilst mixing a megaphone)...

A raspberry pi totally is "a computer."

    :D

    But, actually, yes, it is!

Not that I've ever played with one. It's been on my to-do list since they were born. Trouble is, I have no real need for a second computer, whether huge or cute/tiny. I'd play with it, say "that's cute and fun," and put it on the shelf.

My roon renewal is up in September, thinking of dumping it and Qubuz for Tidal and a better catalog. My SHD studio has tidal connect so i no longer would need to run a server for it either. Think there are some tools transfer to favorites between the two?

I used Soundiiz for the transfer from Spotify to Qobuz years ago, and it worked well. It even knows stuff like “Qobuz playlists can’t be longer than x songs” and split up a Spotify playlist accordingly.

Nothing is perfect, of course. There were some songs in my Qobuz favourites afterwards that seemed completely random to me. For some classical stuff, it chose another recording although Qobuz had the same as Spotify. Stuff like that. But all in all, it worked pretty well.

It’s not free, but you can cancel your subscription directly after the transfer, and it doesn’t cost much.
