A plex update on my roku wiped out all my tv channels used for on demand watching of network shows. Plex server update did the same on my pc. I must have missed the late Sept. announcement that plugins would be killed off.. Unfortunately I am in that 2% of users who actually use plugins.

I do know there is a manual way to load plugin bundles but do not want to go that route.

Any ideas on a cheap platform that supports free network tv viewing on demand?

I have a trial to hulu but they only have a fraction of current network shows.

I use Emby (https://emby.media/) which requires an hdhomerun but has loads of options and plugins. Cost is not crazy.

Hey thanks Lou, I too looked into Emby but have no spare funds for more hardware. It does look like a great solution.

I do still have two of the three majors on Roku; ABC and NBC, so that is good. And for CBS, I found a solution. An unused laptop with DVI to HDMI cable lets me use CBS.com as the source. Works well, just commercials where plex plugins got around them somehow. But it has all the shows I like for the last 4-5 episodes at least and it's free.
