    Hey there,

I'm mostly active on reddit but have been a long time lurker at CS. I joined here to look for insight into how I can EQ my HD 800 to sound more like Fanny Wangs. I mean come on guys, nothing screams luxury high performance audio like the words Fanny and Wang.

Seriously though, I'm really digging the look of this place and I look forward to seeing some new measurements.

I look forward to your HD700 updates. You must have out-engineered Sennheiser with something.

Also a long time lurker on the CS forum, my most valuable resource for finding trusted opinions with no BS and measurements. Hope to become a more active participant.

    Hi
I'm Garry from the Uk and appreciated Changstar for it's lack of bullshit and varied opinions and discussions so thought I'd check the new site out.

    Hey guys
    Also cyr32 on head-fi.
Kinda new to the game here (about a year and a half, and probably not quite an audiophile yet). Was particularly drawn in by the review the reviewers thread on changstar before it closed. Hope this forum keeps up the lack of blind fanboyism bullshit that made changstar a breath of fresh air from the others.

Posted a bit on CS before the move, but like before, I've come here to weed out the bullshit gear that I shouldn't be wasting my money on. Curious to see what I can build on a minimal budget.

And of course, I've since stayed for the hilarity which CS often delivers.

    Hi!
CS lurker, music lover, but very very tech unsavvy (or better ignorant) and this made me fresh meat for any expensive hf hype. I'm here to recover. :D

Hi from Pittsburgh, lurked a lot on CS and found the site very informative and entertaining. Hope the new site is more of the same.

Hi, I've come across from the old site where I basically just lurked. I was a refugee from HF, but mainly just a music lover (CD) and DIY electronics guy. The other forums I am on are DiyAudio and SteveHoffman, so that probably says enough. I am interested in technical information, and I appreciate that the pirates generally know what they are talking about, technically. HF is a lost cause as far as technical details/correctness goes. I just dropped a few bucks on the GoFundMe to show my support.

    Keep up the good work!

(ps. I'm 'murrays' on the other sites)

Started with portables, soon found all sound terrible. Spent quite a bit on Jude sponsored items. Gurubhai gave me some wisdom and thus got out of headfi and joined Changstar. Joined here to see how the contribution looks like and that there isn't any other worthy alternate.

So I got these things I stick in my ears that I got in bulk from a night market in Asia 10 for $1 USD! Can't go wrong at that price. Planning on pairing them with a igdragyl from a company called Schite, I think. Oh! and this amp http://eddiecurrent.com/BA.html . Good choice or Best choice?

At least get a KSC-75 for starters. B-Koss you deserve a decent sounding headphone for your musical pleasure.

Hi folks! I always enjoyed the information and tone of Changstar.com, so I thought I'd finally register an account and participate a bit more.

I've always enjoyed music production and consumption gear both for what it does and its inherent beauty. I interned at a recording studio in Nashville in the '90's but fell backwards into technology (and later marketing) because that was clearly an easier way for me to make money, and I suspect I don't really have the ears for being a recording engineer anyway.

I have fond memories of building speaker cabinets, tube amps, and once retrofitting a basic Hammond organ with foldback using a kit I bought online during my 20's before life kinda went off the rails in my 30's. In my early 40's now, and I'm enjoying putting together a system--prolly will end up with Gungnir Multibit > Vali > HD650, though currently using GO1000 > Vali > Alpha Dogs pretty happily.

    Nice to be here.

Hi, Kevin from Changstar, same handle. Didn't post much, but enjoy the banter. With one eye covered, of course. I guess I can sell my parrot now.

Full disclosure, I irregularly post to a personal blog about audio http://theaudiolog.com/ and do video reviews of audio gear at http://www.avshowrooms.com/ FWIW. Don't hold this against me...

I'm a Broadcast Engineer at CBS TV in what passes as real life.

I started with earbuds like that, but upgraded to two cheeseburgers connected with coathanger wire. I use more onions for increased top-end sparkle, extra mayo for deeper bass.

    Hey Mr Tie here,

I have been a long time lurker on changstar and I figured with the migration I may as well finally get an account. I go through cycles where my audio hobby moves between speakers and cans, I think it's time to get back into the headphone game. I really appreciate the amount of measurements and measured discussion on this site, and I have always used it as a 2nd opinion to the prevailing knowledge over at headfi when investigating products. My current can's are everyone's favorite face tweeter the DT990, but in the past I have owned hiifman, sennheiser, grado, shure, and custom magnums. After a recent experience with the HD800 and the Gungnir Multibit, I think i may be headed that way soon.
