So much better than a lot of schiit on TV these days. Hell, my kids got a huge kick out of watching the original 3 Stooges shorts for the first time.

I hope it's a lightning adapter for Wyrd.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if the "Manhattan Project" that is been hinted at is just this.

I'm extremely intrigued by the gadget. Hope it gets announced soon.

    Wishful thinking:
    • Burrito filter the everything. e.g. Source > Burrito > DAC > AMP > e.t.c.
    • Asgard/Bifrost sized power amp kicking out appropriate levels of power for Mark Audio & Fostex FRs.
    • A more refined phono stage.

I really think that @schiit should start selling a "Schiit Box". Maybe call it the John, or the Crapper. This would be a small desktop rack designed to hold a stack of the smallest size Schiit chassis, the Valis, Modis, Magnis, Syses, and Wyrds. It would allow for a simple but elegant stack o' Schiit, maybe with an option for a double-wide stack, because they look good side-by-side too.

I've got my fingers crossed for a power amp.

Sounds cool... with a back-plane, no interconnects needed!

I know everyone has done upsampling and oversampling, but no one has done anything to increase bit depth. A box that makes things go from 16bit to 24bit with some magic would be my next guess.

There are upconverting algorithms that can be used when importing audio into DAWs so that is a possibility, however, what's lost is lost so too speak. Plus that would take away from their bit-perfect filter.

Did he say this would be the thing announced this week (the "gadget")? Or this one of is old quotes about the gadget?

Moffat's new vs old instruments comment is the biggest clue. So what's the difference between new and old more expensive instruments?
