    He has 4 or 5 DSHA amps. I’ve seen the DSHA-1 for $1600 used but don’t know how much of a discount the seller was giving(edit: original price seemed to be $1995). At one point he made a Black Diamond amp for $1600.

    I have been waiting to see what some of the newer brands release.

    - Metrum's Amethyst has come out and reviews on this site seem to say DAC very good as long as one likes NOS (fine with me) but head amp so-so depending on what headphones one has;

    - I am not sure what people think about the headamp on Soekris 1541?

    - For me I will be very interested on how the new Holo Cyan performs - the DAC portion should be very good as it is from the Holo Spring - how the good the headamp is we have yet to see - but if they do it well (and based on their DAC quality I am optimistic that they can) then this may be one of the better dac/headamp combos. Early reviews should be soon so it maybe a worthwhile addition to Luckbad's list and a survivor.

    In case anyone missed it, @dsavitsk is currently selling the DSHA-2 from that impressions thread. $1400.

    There was a time when I enjoyed working on websites. That time has passed.

    As mentioned, the blue DSHA2 prototype is available for $1400. I also have a prototype Black Diamond with a power supply upgrade for $1200. Beyond that, those two amps have been retired. Current amps are the DSHA3 and DSHA3F (for Focals), Copenhagen, and hopefully very soon the T4. The '3's and the Copenhagen are all outside of this thread's parameters, but the T4 will be close.

    I know it is a long time ago since you posted this, but I am really interested in which of the amps in question do you think is worthy.

    I am rather un-experienced with high-end equipment, probably don't know enough for my own good. Still, I would like to say my Bryston BHA-1 is a very good purchase for me. Running single-ended (balanced cable is on the way) on my Amiron Home, it really brings out the authority of sub-bass punch and rumble, as well as the texture of the bass. On the other hand, treble details are effortlessly floating in the air. Its sound signature is neutral, very honest, which I liked too.

    My DAC is a Teac UD-301, I know it is probably really un-ideal, but I currently have space constraints. It is ok when the song is simple, but during complicated scores, it will clog up. I have heard my amp with the Gungnir Multibit too, but it was brief. I can get a whiff of what you guys always praises of the Schiit DACs, the first thing I noticed was, it is indeed very detailed, and effortlessly so, not elevated treble. It is also more rounded and comfortable to the ears than my own DAC.

    I have had a Violectric V200 in the past. It's rough/grainy and bass is very woolly. You would be better off with a Magni 2!! Unfortunately, it cost me back in the day nearly $750. In short, I would not recommend that one in the least.
