I bought all these cables to find the best one for my ortho mods. Crazy I know but I wanted to use every means possible to tune them.

I have too much respect for each of these cable makers to do a review of the sound, they are each such good people. They each have spoken with me at length via email and are incredibly kind, dedicated, passionate people. Well, Lunashops is mostly business but they are very accommodating to custom fussy orders. Each cable does sound different though. If you don’t believe that, feel free to say so in the headphone cable discussion thread.

My favorite cable for feel, and ergonomics
Arctic Cables - Caprum. They use less plastic PVC coating over the wires so you can really feel the metal when you handle them. Plus they’re super flexible and have a beautiful weave. They feel wonderful. I actually just left them out after receiving them and would pick them up from time and marvel at them like "my precious". If you’re buying a cable for feel and ergonomics, this is the one to get.

    Most beautiful
The Drausk Clear is hands down the most beautiful. It radiates and shines like some precious metal, which I guess it is. The thickness and weave is incredible, and this cable has the most radiant copper color of all of them, with the Magnus a close second.

    Most flexible
Lunashiops 16 Cores 7N OCC Copper. It’s thin, has very little PVC so you can feel the metal similar to the Caprum but it’s thinner and more flexible. The weave isn’t super tight, it may come loose over time I don’t know.

This cable can be used for anything from Audeze to Focal to iems with angled or non angled MMCX connectors, with or without ear hook. And they’ll use Neutrik black/gold connectors if you just ask. It is thicker than most iem cable but works fine because its so flexible. Just send a message an ask for the connectors you need

    Best Deal
Lunashiops 16 Cores 7N OCC Copper. It sounds as good as the others at a fraction of the price. Of course, you’re not supporting these really good people who handmake cables and pay workers reasonable salaries. Or do it all on their own. But it is the best deal. Though I don’t know how they hold up long term.

Am loving it so far, and not just for sound reasons. Ergonomics are excellent - non microphonic, very soft sleeving, excellent build quality, super flexible. love it when they get the basics down pat. Love those eidolic connectors too, the 4pin xlr is pretty impressive.

Had a guy down here (Oz) hand make these for my 800’s and they arrived yesterday. Furutech connects. They sound great; a marked upgrade on the stock and aftermarket XLR they came with.

No, just a cable maker named Ben, lives in Brisbane and hangs out on Stereonet. I’m in Sydney.

Also an Arctic Cable Magnus owner here and love it. Here are some others in my collection:

    PXL_20211024_011133088.jpg

    Top to bottom:

Norne Silvergarde S3C - 4 x 21awg, not copper, very flexible, zero microphonics).

Double Helix Molecule SE - 4 x 22awg, very stiff, ugly looking, I would say the worse of the bunch.

Arctic Cable Magnus - 4 x 18awg. That thing is beautiful both in looks and feel. Reasonably priced too.

Han Sound Audio Zentoo Plus - 4 x 20awg. Feels very light, very portable.

    Hakugei "earth-god" - 4 x 18awg.

    DUNU HULK - 4 x 22awg.
