    Built myself a new Ryzen 9 7950X based PC back in October so I decided to give my triple monitor setup a bit of an upgrade as well with a pair of stacked LG 34" 2k ultrawides and a vertical 27" 2k (before pic is 2 posts above ^).

    My home office has always been fine, but my situation at work has always left something to be desired. I finally took care of that this winter.

    How many of your teachers had a setup like this in their classroom? HD600 not pictured |\/|

    I suppose the crappy Dell monitor is the last domino that needs to fall.

    I'm a prior Af owner during covid/emergency evacuation order, but sold it since I rarely listen to headphones at home. Now, no more evacuation order, and have determined Af to be my ideal long term office mate.

    Holy cow, it's night and day with respect to sound quality compared to the MOTU. I'm sure part of it is the Symetrix R2R 20-bit ADC per @atomicbob. I got one dirt cheap brand new from a sound studio that bought it but never opened up the box.

    Attached two samples. This microphone was used: https://www.superbestaudiofriends.o...cparts-t-47-a-fantastic-diy-microphone.11378/

    One sample is into the MOTU Mic 1. The other sample is into the Daking Mic-Pre One -> Symetrix 420.
    The samples sound totally different to my ears. No processing, just some approximate sound leveling.

    Guess which is which?

    P.S. Forgot to thank you for this gracious gift! I've been buried with work. First time in months I had time to clean up my room, and it's still messy.

    P.S.S. Bonus points if anyone can pick out the special collectors item in one my battlestation photos.

    I started working on this corner of a room as a little WFH fortress during COVID, but as life began to normalise, 'office sensible' started to give way to a bit more of a 'l337 gamer' edge. But childish material possessions and knickknacks are surely the path to happiness, so all's well that ends well. Really need to build that Ferrari though!
