Doing more research, they appear to be quite good, and Ohm still provides support and repair for all of their speakers since they started in the 70's(?).
If they sound good, I'm getting them. And the guy also has a pair of Ohm F's he isn't selling, ill see if he lets me listen to those.

I think that they are interesting speakers. Cool that you can listen to and look at them. If they are in decent shape and are to your taste these seem to be a good price.

Yeah, I saw that about Ohm still provides support and repair (and upgrades). They mention that they can send out parts with detailed instructions so that you don't have to deal with shipping. Includes detailed placement directions.

Please post your impressions after listening. The folks at AK really like the Walsh 2's and I'm interested based on reviews, but I'd like hear more opinions. Specifically interested in the dynamic capabilities and sound stage. Thanks!

I will. I'll also measure them with my umik-1 and post that.
but I might not look at them today. Bit of a blizzard happening, I'll see if it clears up.

wow, they sound really nice. Nice punchy fast bass. Need more power than some other speakers.
but like expected, there is no "sweet spot" to sit. Sounds great anywhere in a big zone.

    measurements coming at some point.

More listening to my favorite album.
I might compare these to the HD650, though I haven't used too much gear.
The bass surprised me, much like the bass of the HD650 did. Its punchy, clean, and present.
Ill have to do more listening. Measurements probably next weekend.
Ill compare them to all the speakers I have, my Omega Mini me, my Polk R15, and my vintage single driver speakers made by some ladys father.
I don't have room for them, but I say you always have room for good sound.

yup, I'm always interested in unique speakers.
I want to design speakers in the future, so now I want to explore all the different types. These are very interesting, and a type seemingly used only by ohm.

    More listening.
    Cold Spring Harbor- Billy Joel.
I think these speakers excel even better at this kind of music.
Transparent sounding. Nice piano, guitar, harmonica, vocals.
More later, off to listen to The Stranger- Billy Joel.

edit: One more thing to note: Not having the room to place them in front of my computer allows me to not to distracted.
allows me to get lost in the music, my thoughts, emotions, and myself

Listening to The Stranger showed me more.
Unlike earlier Billy Joel, this one has some prominent bass, and more instrumentation.
These speakers really punch the bass, tight and fast. I cant imagine them going too low, but for music like this, its fine. We'll see about Prog Rock later.
They are still handling everything fine, but nothing is too complex yet. In the next few days, Ill listen to some more Billy Joel (52nd Street, Glass Houses, An Innocent Man, Storm Front), some classic rock, some prog rock, some classical, and Ill see what else.
    So far, quite good.
These are a keeper. Might be selling my omegas...

    Listened some more.
These things are still impressing me. Ill go ahead and say they remind me a lot of the HD650.
    Listened to Storm Front-Billy Joel.
Still performing well, in the more bass heavy tracks like Downeaster Alexa.
    Listened to some The Doors.
Again I notice transparency in these, really emphasizes his vocals in quiet tunes like Crystal Ship.
Pink Floyd is still nice, one thing I noticed is that the bells/clocks sounded really realistic in Time, along with the heartbeat beating into my heart.
Less clarity at some of the more complex songs.
Yes is good, Roundabout sounds nice. The acoustic sections sound really nice, along with the funky bassline, but again, clarity is missing at complex parts.
Rusted Root sounds good, but Ecstasy shows that these don't go down incredibly low. That 5 string bass line is diminished at lower registers, I would say these play down to 50-60ish Hrz at good volume. But measurements will show more.
Think I got a good mix of music. Just need to do some classical tomorrow.
Imaging is better than I thought, seems quite good. Soundstage is narrower though.

Ill make a fs listing for my Omegas tomorrow...

They should go lower than 50hz, Ohm recommends placing them fairly close to the wall for better bass response. There are also switches on the bottom for bass and treble attenuation I believe.

"For peak performance the speakers should be set up so the Ohm logo is on the front of the left speaker and the Walsh 2 logo on the front of the right speaker. Placed 6 to 10 feet apart and about 1 foot from the wall gave the smoothest bass and best imaging." Source: http://ohmspeaker.com/legacy-products/2/#main

Doesn't look like you have the room for the "peak performance" setup. Just glad that you are enjoying them.

yeah. Facing right way, but can't really move them apart and my room is within 1 ft of being a perfect cube
yeah, can't really get them closer to wall. And that was just a guestimate.
