Music and video games are my go-tos when the pain is bad. They are very good distractions that take you away from your body (that you may not be happy with at the moment).

I get different types of migraines, and for some of them listening to music (or any noise really) makes the migraine worse, but reading is ok. But then I have others where the pain stems from the back of my eyes and trying to read or being anywhere with more than dim lighting will make the headache worse, but music is ok. Or sometimes any kind of stimulation is bad and I just want to crawl into a dark hole somewhere and wait for the tylenol to kick in.

For me music usually makes sleep deprivation suffering worse (I often get a bad headache) but audio bliss can help with other pain. I like video games for pain too.

    Have you tried edibles?

Coincidentally, also worth considering as an audio tweak.
