    Ill ask Dennis about the canned air as I do have some but don't want to cause damage if the speakers are no longer mine, I also was having an amp built for these drivers by klaus over at odyssey audio so will have to see what to do about that :(

    That's fair. If there really is a problem with them, I'm happy to let them go back to Dennis. I was trying to save the deal for someone locally otherwise. It's super easy to sell his speakers the second someone hears them.

    Honestly, if they're fine sonically, you'd be paying $4500+ for speakers with these components anywhere else.

    Dennis has admitted that there was a mix up and that he made a mistake. He has agreed to fix the issue at no cost to me or pay for the return. He said he would replace the baffle and cabinet of the faulty speaker if that is what I want. Overall he has treated this situation professionally and that is telling for who he is as a person. I am sure we will resolve this one way or another in an adult fashion. @zerodeefex I will keep you posted on what I end up doing and @thegunner100 can probably send you his measurements if you are interested.

    By the way, I do feel bad for posting this thread before talking to Dennis and I really should have given him the benefit of the doubt.

    The ScanSpeak Revelator paper cones are not definitely ideal for people with pets. I don't think the hair on either driver is a worry.

    Looks like Transducer Labs. About $500-550/pr. The cheesy 1980s faceplate gives them away. Despite the crude build they have a good reputation for performance.

    They really need the Seas grilles Meniscus sells for them. If someone shatters the dome, beryllium dust is super toxic.

    Yeah, I told Ravi not to worry about dusting them off or using canned air. It won't come off. Best to just leave them be. I had two Labradors (they shed like crazy twice) at that time. Those woofers ended up looking like Chewbacca.

    I have the BMR Phils with the 7" woofers. With three pets I leave the grill covers on. No grossness.
