I'm getting a bit of banding in the skies & I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong.

One on my favorites. Her name was Jessica and she had a ton of personality.

Another one of my favorites. This is back when I shot film. Sometimes I would rewind 35mm film after only take a partial roll, then use different film, then put the rewinded roll in and advance it in a black bag. This was so I could use the right ISO at the right time. I accidentally managed to double expose a shot I took at a Grateful Dead show with a shot I took of a friend at Machu Pichu in Peru. Suffice it to say I was pretty surprised, and pleased, when I got this tool developed (about 1984). The rainbow was actually there in Machu Puchu. This whole shot is right out of the camera; no photoshop.

Devil's Reach - This I'm really proud of. I had the beer bottle on my desk. My wall is yellowish-white so I thought about ways of eliminating it. I put my external flash on the ground and aimed it behind the desk. I exposed for the beer bottle, trying to make the right side a bit underexposed, while whiting out the background. This is what I came up with after some shots. It's the most thought I've ever put into a photo.

Benjamin - Took a macro shot of a US $100 bill. Used my K-50 with the 35 Limited.

One of the best pictures I have seen in a long time. I simply love pictures that make me look twice and ask "what is the story here?" I also dig the film grain, yes that grain adds a charm that digital sometimes lacks...

Some really great pictures in here. AllanMarcus - that double exposure is perfect!

I don't know if I have a favorite, but I do keep coming back to this one from last years Columbus day parade:

I had an interesting and really fun shoot this past weekend... Roller Derby!

The lighting was beyond horrible. I got away with shooting a D4s (and D4) with some relatively fast glass but there was a lot of noise to clean up. I want to try lighting up with some strobes the next time I go.

Great shots. Very impressive considering the lighting/motion challenge. How much retouching did you have to do?

I needed to recover about a stop in most of the shots. Then I was pushing LR's noise reduction pretty hard. I doubt I'd want to print any of these very large, but on screen they came out pretty well considering.

Other than that, just some cropping.

Which beach is this? My wife grew up on the Big Island so I like to show her these shots to see if she recognizes the area, and to make her home sick ;)

Ate this at the Embarcadero a couple weeks ago... lighting was ideal for a stylized food shot.

I'm not sure the shadow totally works on the plate/food, but I like what you were going for. You found some great light!
