I read most of the roon thread, but I am still pretty confused and am seeking easy to understand 'how to' to use Roon. Here's what I understand, but I may be wrong.

    1. I would load the Roon core onto my Surface. This is where the UI happens.
    2. I make the Pi2AES roon ready by loading ropieee (https://ropieee.org/getting_started/) onto the SD card. Will it boot and be discoverable on my network before Roon is installed or do I need Roon running first?
    3. Assuming this is all correct, how do/where do I integrate Qobuz? Into the Roon core?
    4. How does Roon recognize Pi2aes? I assume both are hooked into network and Roon would drive this.
    5. I assume this will deliver output that is compatible with Schiit Yggdrasil (This is the endpoint?)
Is this on track? What else will I need to pay attention to?

Thanks a lot. Quite a learning curve going on here!

@Chuckccs, just a tip going forward - in general we discourage creating new threads on existing thread topics, in order to keep the forum noise down, and spreading information all over the place in various threads. You should try to seek out an existing thread that is related to your question and post your question there, rather than starting new ones. Also single questions that generally are short lived, or only benefits your specific usecase, should be avoided as new threads - again, find an existing thread (there are general purpose advice threads on many topics).

Also, folks here will not spoon feed you answers that are easily obtained via Google or product websites. We expect you to try to figure some of these things out on your own, and if you run into a dead end or get very confused, feel free to post a question, ideally in an existing thread.

This thread question could have easily been posted in the Roon thread that you have recently read through.

    Anyhow, cheers and happy SBAFing.

Fair enough! Actually, I had read the thread, didn't see anything that helped, had spent time on Google - and then as i wrote the summary, I realized I had pretty much figured enough out. Not sure why I even posted the thread except inertia.

    Like I said, fair enough....
