    Hello everyone,
I used to play Juniper a long (long) time ago and I wanted to play sax alto again almost from scratch I would say... but happy I'm taking this decision now.
Either way, I live in London and I'm looking for a new sax for beginners which is not expensive (less than 400 GBP if possible).
While using this forum I found many options as expected. I'd like to have a black/gold sax.
    I saw the following:
    - Jean Paul USA AS-400
    - Thomann TAS 180
    -YAMAHA YAS-280
    - Adolphe (not black though).
I would like a balanced sax as I'm not an expert to be honest.
Thank you much in advance for any suggestion.

In school, I played alto sax for about 8 years. My personal horn was pretty bad, so I used a Yamaha that was owned by the school in the latter half of playing. After graduating from high school, I basically just stopped playing sax because I never thought about taking it any further. It just wasn't on my radar, and it's a weird thing to think about now because I always loved playing these sax--I love smooth jazz, and I love music overall.
