I can do that. You just want a pseudo-LPF on the lowest knob right and appropriate comps for the rest to get it flat?

I can do this at least for a Loki Mini+, which probably deserves an updated review and measurements.

A Loki whaaaat? I want to add one of these EQ's to my chain and hear for myself if I can fine tune to my likings without playing the precision scalpel EQ game anymore.

Is the "Manhattan Project" or whatever the digital thing is/was still in development? I haven't seen much talk about it.

Loki Mini+ is the update to the OG Loki EQ. I should ask @schiit if I can set up a loaner for SBAF if any interest.

And yes, I get you on the digital surgical EQ: PIA. Getting too old for not seeing the forest but instead counting the blades of grass. The blunter instrument works just as well subjectively - headphone measurements are so inaccurate to individuals anyway.

Loki's only limitation is 4-bands. I actually felt the wide bands were a negative, but it actually allows for more flexibility.

Ohhh Schiit... when did they release the + and what's new? -- Here is what I could find from Schiit's website

"So how is this better than the original Loki Mini?
A number of ways. The biggest thing is a new gain stage with drivers before the output to increase linearity, as well as matched devices throughout. In addition, there’s a new power supply that dramatically reduces noise (already inaudible at like -100dB, but hey, let’s go nuts a bit, right? Plus some tweaks to get maximum THD down, even when you’re really tweaking the knobs."

The black looks like a perfect match to the IEMagni also :) Might have to pick up one of these rigid cross connects and pick up a loki+ for a nice work setup. https://introprose.myshopify.com/products/rca-crossconnect-for-schiit-stack

Is the wall-wart for the Loki+ the same size as the one for the Magni's ?

No it’s a different wall wart all together. At least for the non + Loki.

Exactly that's what I am looking for. A pseudo-HPF actually. I want everything above a certain frequency to pass through while keeping the high pass signal that went through as flat as possible. I wonder what's the absolute lowest F3 point one can generate while keeping the rest of the spectrum flat, and it can be on the new Loki+. Sure! If it does a great job, I would order 2.

I want an HPF as low as possible, with the steepest slope possible (which I wish it were around 60/80Hz, but seems it might happen further up.)

And if you could, can you generate one for the 2nd knob, lowest mids. In this scenario, what's the steepest cutover one can manage below 500 while keeping above 1Kz flat.

I wish I had an analyzer right now, and I did not have to order cross-border, so returning is not an option really for me. Sadly, there is little information on how to use the knobs to their full potential. As you said, the broad bands can be worked to allow far more flexibility than what meets the eye.

I would like to see how good of a "U" , "n", "W" that could theoretically be made.

The following is for Loki Mini+ (review and measurements pending per popular demand)

Knob 1 (left-most) totally minimized (fully counter clockwise) near 7am. All other knobs centered.

W is not possible. Only four bands and bands are too wide.

    N-shaped
Knob 2 and 3 maxxed. Knob 1 and 4 centered.

Only if I can sell you an overpriced upgrade kit. But not before I make a YT video where my wife starts off with a sexy voice: MC-Research.

I would buy at least an MC-Research sticker to put on the Loki+

I was expecting a far lower F3, wow. That's @ around 300Hz - Thanks so much! I guess it would just simply make a terrible HPF hehehe.

Thanks for the time, good sir!

The center point is around 100Hz, but since the EQ is four bands, they need to be wide. Maybe if Schiit comes out with a six band EQ.
