If it works for you then it works. The way i see it Arch is a great tool for learning linux with the excellent documentation. Not something you should install if it just has to work, breakages will probably happen but you will learn how to fix it. Not everyone is down for that. It's like the Lego of Linux. Yeah the budgie desktop is pretty nice, i would use it if it had proper hidpi support. I think gtk/gnome does some fractional scaling but it's experimental. The budgie guys are a small team so it might take a while but at least their base supports it. Personally i use kde now, the scaling is excellent and beter than windows.
