For all interested parties, @Zampotech is working on the transformers, to improve bass, and casing. He just needs to have an idea how many amps to produce. So, if interested given this, please post here to keep things consolidated.

Count me in, looks like a great little amp. Love the simple design. The Sonett and Sonett 2 remains two of my favorite amps.

Count me in, if this lowly contributor from SEA may! I've been interested in ZDT Jr. (or any SET amp) since forever but the tales of tubby bass always scared me off. Shortest Way seems like it to me.

And yeah, Shortest Way does have a nice ring to it. Direct Path is a pretty cool name, too.
Or, uh, Super Best Amp from Friend? Like, you know, SBAF? *laughs awkwardly*

Definitely interested. I appreciate the continued work to improve this amp!

Interested too. Only thing is whether shipping from Russia to Singapore will encounter problems. The last I heard, a purchase of the Laconic NBM failed because of some customs issues.

I'd be interested except I just bought a NBM from @Zampotech (that I'm loving btw). Would love to hear this in its final form sometime down the road.
Mine was shipped by Russian Post to Taiwan and arrived in less than 2 weeks with excellent tracking along the way.
So avoid the World Cup and new year and you should be fine.

Interested too. I would like to compare it to my ZDT Jr. and La Figaro 339.

I'm interested in it as a "downgrade" from the Liquid Platinum as I've realized while its a great all-rounder, I have no use for its extra gain and complexities etc. for something I'll mostly being driving 650s with, which from the comparison seems better than Zdt Jr. which @Hands already mentioned is comparable to LP for Senns.

    Are you self-hypnotizing?

My attempts at self-hypnosis usually end up like this anecdote:

Hedgehog ate beans and engaged in self-hypnosis
    I won't fart.... I won't fart....I won't fart... BANG!!! This is not me....This is not me....This is not me....

Ok, I'm interested in acquiring, evaluating and measuring one of these amps.

Slightly off-topic but I've been wondering about this. Considering "shortest way" is it possible, if any given DAC output is low enough impedance (<=10 ohm), to use it to direct drive headphones and use software volume control? I feel like you'd never achieve an absolute "shortest" path when you introduce an amp no matter how high resolution it is.

Thoughts? Possible? Sorry if I'm missing something and what I said is super stupid for any reason

You need to provide enough power to properly control headphones. Most DACs do not have it. High current/voltage DAC likely will cost more then DAC+amp combo of comparable performance.
