Now the mandrel of batch 4 is over (except for a few parcels that are in my warehouse until the end of the summer at the request of the owners)
The shipment of the 4+ batch has already begun.
The shipment takes place according to the list from the date of the order. An exception is made for parcels to Australia and New Zealand. It is a very long way to these countries and I try to send parcels to these countries as quickly as possible and without waiting in line. I hope users from other countries will understand my decision correctly. Recipients from the United States are in the most favorable position. An EMS parcel to the USA arrives in 8-12 days. More than 15 amplifiers have already arrived at their new homes.
Just like last time (for example, for batch 2 and 3), I send parcels in small batches from 2 to 4 pieces at a time. This is due to the fact that mass shipment will be regarded by customs as "commercial cargo" , parcels may be delayed and I will be required to draw up tons of documents. Small shipments are usually not interested in customs.
According to my forecasts, all parcels will be sent by the end of August or the beginning of September.
The delay in sending was due to the delay in the delivery of the transformer iron I needed. The supplier divided my entire order into two unequal batches, he sent the first, a small batch, and the second could not be sent for a very long time. This is probably due to the explosive rise in the price of steel in March-April of this year.

Good to see that the superior cat edition is more in demand.

 

New additions are quite nice. The pub towel is 50 years old, however.

 

Beautiful setup...is the towel advisable though? I'm not familiar with the Holo and how warm it runs. I'm sure others will chime in if it's problematic, but happy listening either way!

 

It does run warm, but cooler likely than the inside of a clothes dryer.
I haven't settled on the towel, though. The Holo was in such good shape that I did it out of respect.

@Zampotech would SW51+ be ok used as a preamp? Some 50 or 100 Ohm resistors on the output?

Or am I smoking something not very good?

 

I am using the SW51+ as a preamp with good results. Based on Zampotech's advice I am using the low headphone oputput. No resistors needed.

 

I can only add to @Mordy answer that it is undesirable to include the earphone in the second connector when the SW51 is working as a preamp, this can add distortion.

so, I was able to successfully place the order, and while I am not expecting the amp too soon, I caught the bug, read this thread back and forth, and decided to stock up on the tubes in advance.

I think I can add to the whole Telefunken confusion, I grabbed this pair from a German eBay seller:



could not find much information on this particular version - the BWB (Bundeswher) logi and the 70-13 coding neither on http://www.audiotubes.com/teledate.htm, nor on https://tctubes.com/telefunken-date-codes.aspx
