Sold: miniDSP DDRC-22A w/Dirac and mic (UMIK-1)

This is a now-discontinued miniDSP device that comes with a Dirac license (transferred for free with miniDSP per their process described here), remote control, and the UMIK-1 measurement microphone (and a collapsible tripod stand). The DDRC-22A was originally priced at $800 new.

This module is meant to serve as an easy way to integrate Dirac room correction into an existing 2-channel system. It can be easily inserted in between different stages of an audio setup that uses separate components and balanced interconnects, and I have to say it works great. I received this unit direct from miniDSP in 2017 and it has lived in my main setup between my preamp and power amp since. Dirac made a huge difference in my system and made me a believer in room correction. I had spent probably $3k on room treatments and still couldn't even out the frequency response in my listening room until I started using this great little device.

I'm selling as I am moving in the near future and have downsized my setup to an integrated amp with built-in room correction in preparation.

Condition is 8/10 on the Audiogon scale. There's a blemish on the top right side of the unit but TBH it's not very obvious. See photos.

 

Quick price drop. Not sure what to price this at, but it is now the same price as buying just standalone license for stereo Dirac Live software separately. Seems like a good deal.
