Not sure how good this is but I came across it while looking for free sequencing apps at appsliced.co

whirlometer. Was $1.99 and currently free

“Quickly Measure Turntable RPM Using The Camera * Accurate (to ~ 0.1 RPM) * Easy To Use * Better Than Spinning Your Phone On The Platter”

This is not a deal (actually you pay a significant premium!), but I thought I'd post it here because it's a limited edition that just got released today and will sell out.

Buchardt S400 Signature Edition in Raw Nordic Oak €2460 (about US$2735).
Signature edition has higher quality crossover and stiffer cabinet. Only 25 sets available.
    https://www.buchardtaudio.com/shop/s400-signature-edition
The regular S400 is €1610-€1720 depending on finish, €200 less for B-stock.
I've been curious about the S400 and ordered the signature edition, even though it isn't a bargain with the premium. I figure that it's low risk with 30 day trial, and if I let go of it later the S400 has received so much hype and there should be demand as a rare limited edition.

Like it or not, Astell & Kern is a wild success story. They move an unbelievable number of SP1000's in Asia, numbers that won't look weird on a smartphone company's balance sheet. And the thing is, if you want a high end "do it all" DAP (streaming, adjustable line out, digital turntable) they're somehow still the only game in town. Sony could do this easily but they chose to sell a $3,000 Walkman with a bunch of missing features and a $9,000 DAP that justifies its price almost entirely through using a $2,000 volume pot.

You're not getting a lot of material cost but you do get the R&D that goes into supporting streaming service integration, home theater stuff, making everything look and feel polished and responsive, etc. All of that costs money.

That said, $1,700 for a refurbished one isn't a good deal. You can find new stock at plenty of Asian dealers for around the same price point.

Don’t know if anyone posted this yet, but the LSIM703 is down to $449 a pair at Adorama, which is a huge discount.

Several years ago, I had both the LS50 and the 703 in the same system. Despite being biased against Polk, I was impressed at how close they were. (I preferred both to several other similar range bookshelfs I tried out at the time, including the SVS Ultra, Ascend Sierra 2, a couple Wharfedales, and a couple Focals.) The LS50 has better imaging and high-end detail, but the 703 had more realistic bass texture. Very well-built, too. A great deal at this price, IMO. It’s only flaw is a slightly elevated high-end, but placing them slightly above ear level fixes that minor flaw. Otherwise ruler flat.

Monoprice has some deals that may be of interest

20% off some open box items (code = OPENBOX) this includes the liquid Pt amp ($599 - 20% should be $480) https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=36735

Their M300 "in-ear planar magnetic" is currently $49 (there were plenty of mixed reviews for these at their original msrp of $150, but maybe worth a punt for $50). https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=24461

Their electrostatic headphone open box for $299 - 20%
    https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=37897

    Also the M650 for $80 https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=34873

FWIIW I don't own any of the above (so cannot comment on sound, reliability, etc.).

As curiosity, and to prevent fellow European SBAFers from wasting their time, as i did, i got a quote from Fedex (that's what they use for international shipping) to Europe, and it was 157$...kinda high (did i do something wrong?).

Fedex and UPS are both expensive for international shipping.
USPS was much cheaper for stuff I had to ship, although their system can be confusing, and hard to get the lowest prices from. I just shipped a little box, 2 lbs, to my daughter who is studying in England for $25. A USPS Small flat rate box is $39. But gets quite a bit more from there. Whenever I've looked at fedex, I see three digit prices.
