    Flipping? - Don't be a flipper.

You need/want one pair at work, one at home? - Live a little, have some variety in your life... Listen to something different at work/home.

One might break!!?? - Not really likely in any relative short term... and if it did it's not irreplaceable.

I've had this second headphone thought in the past and I can't really think of many good reasons to do it. I have two Stax 007's, but that's because they are different generations. Zerodeefex has like 4 UERM's, but he's nutty.

    NO. Don't do it.

Thank you everyone! I'm not pulling the trigger. I was thinking what if they break, but I take good care of my gear so this is unlikely and as shipsupt says, they're not irreplaceable. I'm also not a flipper :) This morning I was actually tangled in the cord while trying to straighten it out.... looks pretty funny in an open cube environment at work (I usually have them at home but brought them with me today because a friend wanted to try them before buying).

    Group therapy success!

It's a fun build and a great amp for several high ohm (i.e. Sennheiser or Beyer) headphones. Not terrible but not great with most other headphones.

Oppo has refurbished PM-3's (Black, with warranty and choice of cable) for $319 plus shipping. It says out of stock on the website, but if you call you can get one. I just did it.

Thus far, all three of the products I've picked up from the outlet have been like new. (2x PM-3s and a PM-1.) Really impressive all around.

If you feel the HD 650 ticks all the bass boxes for you, no need....if you like to go close to a skull-rattling yet high quality lower-end, then yes.

Thank you @Merrick @imackler @AustinValentine for your recommendation of the Oppo PM3 in the advice thread. After a long tear through gear, I think I have finally found my second portable/work headphone that can finally complement my beloved MSR7 and my 1964-v6 cIEMs.

As far as the refurbished I scored, I have no idea what is "refurbished" about them. They were factory packaged with all accessories, plastic around the cups...etc. There was a very small ding on the pretty retail box, but I'd be shocked if that's the reason for the 80 buck discount. Everything else is pristine. So I'd highly recommend them for $319 + shipping if in the market. As I mentioned a few post prior, I had to call to order them.
