The Game of Thrones Thread (With Spoilers)

I prefer Rob. I miss Rob...and his wife. Especially them together.

And the dragon slain part was one of the most heartbeaking scene in GoT.

 

Yeah i was kinda mad at Jon too at the time. But it was nice seeing fire & ice got together after that though.

Damn. Now the bad guy has a better dragon. Curious to see how the dragons battle later!

 

I didn't bat an eye when Rob was killed. I pretty much expect everyone is going to die at some point with this show.

I did not like his wife dying though. Watching a pregnant woman get stabbed repeatedly in the stomach is unsettling to say the least.

 

This was a show decision. She is not present at the Red Wedding in the books.

I'm not really sure why they felt the need to make it MORE shocking.

 

Interesting. I read up a little on the character from the books. Is she still part of the story up until the current book?

 

Nope. She wasn't pregnant if I recall correctly, and basically just went back home.

It's been a few years since I misread it so my memory is admittedly fuzzy.

 

I do believe there may have been some hint about his wife being pregnant in the books. Not entirely sure though.

 

A quick search reveals that her pregnancy is a popular fan theory, but that it's entirely unconfirmed.

She's still alive, so it's possible her character makes a comeback in the books. Just hasn't happened yet.

 

Almost as shocking as watching Oberyn's face blown up by Sir Gregor. He was my new fav character after Rob died. I felt sick and the scene kept repeating in my head for a week.

 

Her ass wasn't that big in the show. It was kind of awesome actually

 

When is this show coming back? Killing me!!! I read sometime in 2019.

 

f**k me, I had completely forgot there was another season still to come. I can't tell if I'm happy or sad about that now.

 

Been so long between seasons I'll have to go back and watch the last one so I remember where it left off.

Same thing happened with Westworld

 

I forgot about Westworld, another great show we watched. I'm hoping to find another couple of shows to hold me over. At least until MLB playoffs arrive, and I watch my Yanks win number 28!!

 

I don't watch a lot of TV series, but GOT is certainly one of the all time best. I'd say top 5 with, in no particular order, The Wire, Sopranos, Lost, and Breaking Bad rounding out the rest of my faves.

 

Agreed. Lost, also one of the best shows I've ever seen as well. Breaking Bad, a other great show. Never got into the Sopranos, surprisingly, being a New Yorker of Italian descent.

 

I did not care for the ending of Lost, but that does not negate the hours of entertainment it provided over its 6 seasons.

Should be interesting to see how GOT ends. They certainly have no problem killing people off on that series so anyone's guess who is left standing in the end.

 

Lost I binge watched with my girl, thank God I didn't have to wait, would have drove me crazy. I agree regarding the ending as well, was very disappointed.
