Oh god, no, they're both awful! One is, well, Music Alchemist. Anyone that racks up 12K posts in 2 years at HF...just, no. The other started down the, "Yeah, well, this thing has rave reviews everywhere, so it has to be good" path, and you know how well that turns out at a place like this.

MA's reply is hilarious. The other guy just seems to be a M50x shill.

"I am one of the top posters on this website. I have a lot of experience with all sorts of headphones from entry-level to high-end. As I have already stated, I have been a musician practically my entire life. And I am obsessed with getting the most accurate sound possible."

    "That's hilarious, because I'm a genius."

"Because I have over 12,000 posts here. I would have never come this far if I was a member of the trade without disclosing it, since that is against the rules of this forum."

haha. Ok. Can you tell this is the only thread I've read on HF (aside from the Torpedo III thread)?

Still I applaud any attempt at taking down Music Alchemist a peg.

I'm thinking we should make an answer a question from HF section for the benefit of those new to HF. We would find a good question that we have good answers for, and answer it for them here.

P.S. Oh my, do people really still post their postal tracking updates?

This would be fun, actually informative and frankly make the site more useful to search engines and new people.

I read it more that the other guy was a Music Alchemist specific troll. Either way, that was an amazing exchange. I want to say I have met Music Alchemist IRL at a Chicago meet, but the guy I am picturing doesn't seem to fit with the online profile.

When Jeremy goes into Tari-mode he will at one point reach Black-Adder-level. Hype-Fi cannot handle that. The power of Prog is too advanced for the sheeple...

Maybe the 12,000 posts got to his head. I've had several exchanges with him via PM and he never seemed that way.

paradoxper might be worse than the Music Alchemist. He's the one who turned TMA into a Staxhole.

The only remaining thread I'm watching -- the Cavalli Liquid Carbon -- has devolved into an endless conversation about FedEx tracking numbers and statuses. Useless.

I ordered much later than I'm guessing most that keep spamming that thread, but I have to admit I felt a sense of elation when I got the "your amp will ship around Dec. 18th" email. Seriously, can hardly wait for it to arrive.

What's fascinating to me in general over there is the sense of authority and/or reverential treatment of relatively new members (2013+) that accumulated shit tons of posts in a really short amount of time.

Agreed. I had the same feeling. With that said, my problem with the thread is the endless theorizing and questioning by/of people with no actual knowledge of what's going on or with any meaningful information to add.

My carbon will be shipping soon, the "I want it niiiiyowwww!" Syndrome is tiring, though. Then, WPChi throws in a couple of gloating post about his super-cereal number and that he has had it for awhile.

Whatever you do don't read the TH-X00 thread over there. Gotta be a new low in SNR, and I still read a lot of HF:

60%: tracking updates/complaining about slow shipping
30%: "OMG the pads look too small/uncomfortable in the pictures. What replacements should I order before I've even tried the headphones???"
10%: impressions straight out of the box with no burn-in
