I work in the add industry, so I have a large number of blockers installed out of paranoia. One of them once showed 35 trackers on all head-fi pages, and 40 on the inbox page. Last time I checked Jude had dropped a few trackers, but I wasn't counting anymore at that point.

How does it feel to lack morals.. Oh wait you can't feel it. It's okay no
Ive never heard of ranking poop. Im not defending Head fi owners just the innocent people you esteem yourself higher than. Or bashing individuals who can't defend themselves. If the virtuous things of life were all washed away and we only had intelligent elitists dominating the world would be an insensitive place.
Obvious misunderstanding. Its okay if you hate me I will survive the wrath of "Headphone Master level 59"
I am not hating SBAF as an entity even if I have reason to now after such a tasteless response... it doesn't take much to make a dry dick rise. I don't get a rise out of this so I can't go "f "myself and at least not at the command of another dick. I am a fan of raw talent and resourcefulness such as is present here at SBAF. I sincerely came here to learn. In the process I found myself disgusted at the clickish, rude, and cocky comments about posters on head-fi. If the comments were about Head-fi moderators then I would understand because they have done plenty of things just as morally incorrect as you do in your pride. Hate on head-fi all you want to but why hate on a lot of the posters there?

HOW EVER. I was trying to say that people posting here even most specifically in this thread bad things about people who can't defend themselves is morally wrong. Most specifically because they post things like their shipping number etc? Hey what is wrong with someone having the emotion of excitement and expressing it? It doesn't make them more stupid because they have done that. It just means they are actually more free to express their emotions without judgement. Its useless to the curious reader gleaning for impressions but so is the ZOTL thread. And just like you did there, Moderators there have taken corrective action to bring things back on track.

When I was on head-fi and said that Dan stubbornly tunes his headphone too lean, I got put back in my place real quick... I think that was because they defend Dan there almost as if they search his name and make sure it's nothing but good comments. But to their point it was taking away from the gleanable substance. So was it useless.... sure...should I be able to express my opinion... sure. Same crap different toilet.

Music Alchemist or the flood of noobs that spend their leisure posting things at head-fi have not given you rights to abase them. Was it useless to the people posting useless stuff no... they did nothing stupid... just usless and we all do.... To say your uselessness on the Zotl thread was a better quality of uselessness is flat out STUPID.

In fact a lot of people here can look back at their beginnings and see tons of silly comments they have made and foolish things. However, while some of us grow to really care about the hobby it doesn't mean the vanity stops.

I could see your anger if you thought I was attacking you and comparing you to Jude but its a lot less personal than that.

    Whatever though.... who cares right?

I don't appreciate you talking bad about the glorious, wonderfully relieving action that is crapping or the way you're trying to play it off like all toilets are equal!

Seems you're going way out in left field here to try and take offense about trivial shit which is mostly said tongue in cheek around here. You simply don't have a finger on the pulse of the changstar/sbaf community, which just makes your wall of butthurt (on behalf of strangers, no less), seem more spineless than the usual drivel. I'm kind of impressed, frankly.

Oh, I think I finally understand what you are trying to say. Why didn't you simply state: "C'mon guys, we're better than that. We don't need to bash people for posting their tracking numbers, and Music Alchemist, just let him do his thing."*

Why the wordy tirade and whining like a bitch? Lead, follow, or get out of way. But please don't whine, especially with a lot of words and paragraphs. What you are trying to say gets lost.

*Of which I would answer: I don't really care for this thread, but I think it's good for people to let off steam. Actually, I will be serious. The reason these things are said is to set a tone of expectations of behavior here. It's a delicate balancing act between opening up this place to new people and keeping people who we don't want out. You have no clue how difficult managing a forum and keep undesirable people out can be. And yes, our methods aren't orthodox.

Nothing is stopping them from coming over here, registering and venting their displeasure. Maybe they don't know about this place? Not SBAF's fault.

You obviously care. Because you wouldn't have come back here to get the last word in.

And backhandedly trying to cover for himself for thread crapping here by standing up for those strangers.

    And

    Lastly

My initial post was only in response to a few previous ones. Not a response to the whole of SBAF.

Fork is in it for me.

I don't consider myself an immoral person. But I think it would be accurate to say that I am amoral.

Dude, please stop qualifying the end of your statements with the nihilistic crap. You obviously care enough and don't think it's all useless. Otherwise you would have killed yourself and not bothered saying anything.

Look, you obviously love the content here with the exception of this thread. Can I make you a special group "Mighty Moral Power Ranger" where you can see everything except for this thread?

And I'm dead serious about that statement too. If I were Captain of the Enterprise (or Voyager), all of the episodes involving a moral dilemma would have lasted no more than five minutes with significantly fewer causalities to crew.

I identify more with Vorlons: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vorlon
I see most HF'ers as members of the lesser races - probably mostly Centauri: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centauri_(Babylon_5).

Yeah, yeah, I know. Humans thought the Vorlons were arrogant dickheads; but the Vorlons did do a lot to help.

Yea. I discovered here that CS dickish mod was somewhat useful and helped to improve the SNR. Maybe 1 day per week could be a good prescription.. Mhhhh maybe two in case of intense BS fever . Permanent dickish mode should be medically approved though. Risk is cliquish mode.

btw , yea this thread is kinda childish and useless but hell.... it's funny. It"s quite impossible to denounce BS on HF. I tried for MA in the Stax thread and my post ( with Milos ones) was deleted by moderators. THe Stax thread is the most enlightning example of what HF became. Just do a search and look at the first Stax thread . It was a true goldmine . and what have we now ? a full uninterrupted flow of crap where useful post are overwhelmed. f**k ! Frank Cooter posted some schematics of one of his amps and get no answer while all assholes continued to blabber about overbeated and opinationned crap. A pure shame.

You understand. It's tough. I was in facepalm mode for several weeks not knowing what to do until Ravi came back. I'm not sure the nice and friendly tact worked so well. Hard to balance. We'll keep adjusting.

I think we should appoint @gbeast as the voice of morality or conscience, should he be wiling to take that role. However, he is going to have to be a lot more pithy and more skillful at it.

According to your link, the Centauri males had 6 prehensile tentacles that functioned as penises, almost like Urotsukidoji-inspired tentacle penises, how in the world can anyone consider that a lesser race?!?!?!?

One must be careful in the way moderating is handled. After 16 years of moderator and admin experience, I have learned what works and what doesn't. There is an appropriate time when a mod/admin must be tough, but one must use caution in doing so. Some may prefer a hard-nosed approach to moderating. Personally over the many years I have done this, a professional approach works best for me. You can be a good Mod and get your point across without being harsh or a dickhead to the user/member causing issues - however there are those cases where you must be stern. My approach is to be professional about my position, however I will say that users/members should not take my kindness as weakness - I will do what is necessary for the benefit of all on SBAF.

Any dickish mode shoud be avoided for moderators. I'm moderator for years myself and it's a tough job. professional approach is definitely the best indeed.

But a community and a forum is not animated and driven by admins on moderators. admins and moderators are here to ensure the respect of the rules not to guide the content production. Most experimented/acknowledged and vocals members are the real guides. When most vocals people are the more acknowledged, everything is fine. If not... it's the fuckin disaster we all know on different internet community.

From what I know here. Marv and his friend are both experienced and acknowledged. As much as I can personaly disagree with some of their statements and opinions , I'm somewhat confident in the manner they manage the community.

I personaly built a private community with some other guys . This private forum was born after some strong ( but virtual .. internet childish rant mostly) disagreement on a big forum dedicated to motorcycles. 10 years later. the private community is still alive and we're all friends IRL AND I became moderator on the big forum. Funny isnt't it ? . During first times on our private forum , we spent most of our time to crap on the main forum we quit as we do here on HF. a few month later , we forgot that and began to live our own life.

I'm convinced HF bashing won't last long here.

Is Jude really as short as the picture on the donation page makes him look? Was everyone else in the picture just really tall?
