wasn't going to post this here but Head-Fi mods deleted the For Sale thread to protect the identity of a flipper/scumbag. since SBAF has decent SEO, hopefully this thread comes up when people search for bigvibez1739 online and learn what an upstanding model citizen he is.

after initially declining his lowball offers to my for sale ad, he had his friends (more than one) reach out to try to buy the headphones from me. a day after buying my ZMF Auteurs for $1680 CAD, about ~$1280USD, he lists them on Head-Fi for $1625 USD. this is also after he tells me the value of the Auteurs is really between $1300-1500 USD and says 'I hope you get robbed"

he will probably try to sell them on reddit or ebay now, but it seems this very high IQ individual uses the same username on most marketplaces, so hopefully someone can come across this thread before buying them.

I'm personally proud of my contribution to that thread. But yeah, I internally cringed more than a couple times looking at how badly that guy got exposed. Oh well.

 

That's scummy. I saw his FS post at his price and immediately said to myself that's way too high of a price. Very bad and hope nobody buys them.

I checked his CAM history and he’s sold a lot of stuff recently. Sold one set of cans because he was listening to his clears all the time then sells his clears two days later because he listens to speakers all the time. Odd. One add says he was looking for clear pros for months and wants a trade, apparently gets them then sells them really quick. Weird, assuming CAM time stamps are accurate.

1700 Cdn for coco Auteurs is a fair price. I hope someone isn’t desperate enough to pay the premium that guy wants.

LOL, I can be an asshole but I would never say that to a buyer/seller if they were polite, even if they were lowballing. my initial reply to him was just 'no thanks' before he tried to educate me on pricing. I just have no patience for that sort of thing

for the record I had listed these at $1900 CAD, which is about how much I paid after shipping/tax to get them from ChaCha. I expected to come down to ~1750 and would've taken his offer if he had put any points into charisma/speech for his character build

Ouch, these were the ones that went out for sale right after I demoed them.

 

There's a few on CAM that seem to rotate through gear very quickly, and typically only have selling feedback. Where they buy stuff who knows.
