Probably not the best thread or appropriate place to discuss this in, especially when taking sentiments out of context and twisting meanings behind words, especially since this is a serious topic. Don't make it heavy or ugly, dude. It was just a light hearted comment.

My experience with foreign women has generally been that they're more intelligent, more inquisitive, and more "aware" of things in the world (and not as stuck up). YMMV, depending on what women you hang out with and where. I'd rather be with a foreigner, myself.

@synthwavefan I'll be frank, I tend not to mind jokes aimed at me (religion, race, appearance, hobbies, etc) if it's just stuff shared between friends, because in those instances I'm happy to dish out as well as take it provided all parties involved are cool with hitting below the belt. All in good fun.

Thing is dude, your earlier reply didn't come across as a joke so much as it did the dangerous kind of ignorance, as did your use of the word "mine" in this context. I don't put people on ignore unless they're deliberate trolls (hell, I'm happy to have friends whose views on a wide assortment of topics differ from mine if only so that engaging discourse can be had), but I will advise you to take a step back and parse what you just typed out because it comes across to me as small-minded.

I feel that a person's level of openness, intellectual development, or any of that crap is to an extent influenced by environmental norms and a constellation of other factors, but to phrase it in such a way as to imply that it's a function of heritage is, in my opinion, treading into dangerous waters given the current political climate.

Also, maybe it's just me but I see nothing wrong with dating multiple people provided all parties are consenting. If not, then that's something else I take particular exception to.

To clarify for @ultrabike we aren't dating. We get along very well and she wants to have some light fun with me. I don't think she's stupid or anything else (your words, not mine). Would I marry her? Prob not, due to a variety of factors. But I do like her and think she's generally really cool.
