A quick update on Yggdrasil A2 deal @Inoculator hooked me up with!

Met the seller in person last night after a long couple of days of work. Super friendly chap.

We chatted for like 20 mins with the car trunk open while my wife patiently waited in the car hearing us geek out

got back and plugged it in with my jbl s305 nearfields and used the MacBook as a source to listen to this thing. But man I wasn’t ready for how big a beast this DAC is!



The fact that it was already a unused Yggdrasil since the A2 upgrade and in flawless condition, i was shocked when the Steven, the seller, surprised me by throwing in two pairs of speaker cables for free( I was like whaat!?) . For those wondering. An 8 ft pair of Analysis Plus Clear Oval biwire set and an Anticables REDD 2.1 solid core speaker cable set.

I know some folks on here don't love TMR's usual pricing, but this seems fair for 7/10. I also have found TMR's customer service to be excellent.

 

I find TMRs prices to be pretty good on used stuff. Remember that they also list their gear on Audiogon, which does not collect tax as of yet...

 

Seems like it's equivalent to a GS without Unison and unknown firmware. GS is only $100 more but you have to pay sales tax on it.
