^Holy carp on the SC-VI. The Sovereigns are already 257 pounds each and need piano movers. 530 pounds each??

Erm, the Sovereigns are the stop-gap measure?

I re-confirmed with my friend yesterday all of the information I posted above. I called him to check when I read Duntech specs down 27Hz +/-2dB at the low end. They are conservative and reach far lower than that. I felt 16Hz on more than one occasion. It was his music, yes he put 16hz in there and demonstrated that to me. Not that you need that often.

Duntech in Australia does keep the FR and impedance graphs for all drivers on file based on serial number.
About 10 years ago it cost my friend $1500 to replace (2) 9” Dynaudio drivers that blew due to a bad cinematic mix that didn’t cut the infrasonics (this was done for a local college mastering program). Duntech had Dynaudio custom make the replacements to spec after pulling the files and then Duntech loaded them with felt mass and shipped them to my friend. Took about 6 months but worked out great after the replacements were installed.

    -drivers are impedance matched
    -speakers are phase matched
-tested in anechoic chambers for phase alignment and matching fr

They may not be purty, but they sound purty good. (And then @Armaegis topped me with 2x the Duntech!! Dun and Dunner.)

Starting to muddy up this thread a bit, but here's an interesting interview with Dunlavy himself:
    https://www.stereophile.com/interviews/163/index.html

    Great snippet at the beginning:
I don't remember the reason for the Duntech splitting off from Dunlavy. Maybe it was a disagreement between the owners, or maybe he died/retired and the other bought up the name, something something.

Price for the black's are usually higher, at least here in EU (or used to be when i bought mine). Still if one prefers the 600, i do think those are the nicer looking ones (comparing to the blue ones and ignoring the screens).

Slightly pricey if it doesn't have any SE(++) upgrades?

    Hey, but it's black :punk:

That'd certainly work for Albertans. Including the tax you'd pay to import to other provinces, getting a new Bifrost from Schiit would be a bit more than getting this plus a new card - and inserting a new card refreshes the warranty on the complete package (https://www.schiit.com/products/bifrost-264). So it might be worthwhile for some people.
