I dont have hot spot issues... I prefer the look of the fat pads on the original headband vs these new leather straps.

Believe me, simple strap without padding works better on new headband. I also don't have hot spots but strap with holes have better weight distribution.

Yep... but I've tested both variants on different people ;)

Instead of trying to find solution to a problem, why not eliminate it?

Also a small hint about weight distribution - those who has tried Meze Empyrean should immediately noticed how comfortable it is. Big contribution in comfort make PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION WINGS (c) Meze - small metal pieces at the side of leather headstrap. Tried to make something simillar today:

Believe - very good results. Wait... don't believe me. Take scissors, thin sheet metal (I guess even coca-cola can will do) and try it by yourself. 5 minute mode for any headphone with simillar suspension.

Also I've installed such "wings" to my Audeze Lcd2 closed to test - really big imrpovement.
Let me illsutrate with photos what I mean:

If your head is of simillar shape you're perfectly fine with usual headstrap suspension:

If your head is of another shape please look at photos (sorry, because of covid I haven't visited my hairdresser for a 1.5 month).

    1. Usual suspension - small are of contact.
    upload_2020-6-5_23-24-7.png

    2. Same suspension but with wings - much larger area of contact
    upload_2020-6-5_23-25-5.png

    See the difference?

Hey all, first of all, i'm new to this site and this thread. I found you awesome guys through verum-audio.com as i just bought the verum one's. I appreciate the good tone and the nice reviews. It made the choice a bit easier :)

    Questions to the crowd:
i'm considering to choose the Mayflower Ark mk1 or 2 to drive these or the jds@labs element II. The jds@labs seems to have already been covered for good results. has anybody in this forum tried to pair the mayflower ark with these headphones?

    @Garuspik i have a couple of questions
First of all. do you have an expected delivery date, for new purchases made in june? solely ask of own intest :D
Second, those hollow headbands looks goood. will they be available as additional accessory in the future? as well as other parts like pads, wings, knobs etc?
And third, is there any chance that i can swap/change the preference model? I think i made the wrong choice as i lean more towards the wood designs as i continue to look at your headphones. Chose the carbon as you can hear

    BR

I've already made delays shorter and in a ~2 weeks expect giant progress in time of production. As I'm learning more and more about headphone production then more and more parts I manufacture by myself and don't rely on 3rd party manufacturies. Covid made me learn some new tricks ;)

I'm experimenting with all those things and once I'll be ready for manufacturing and will offer those thing as an upgrade kit. I'm perfectly fine with support of community and my margins so future comfort upgrades will be sold at self-cost. That's my way to say thanks for support.

Sorry, that's a problem for me. When I receive an order system sends an automatic order for painting. I don't have stock.

I really like how Pioneer does their latest generation of HDJ headphones. They curve their headbands quite sharply to contour around the head, then bump out right above the earcups. For me, this is far more comfortable for the aforementioned weight distribution reasons. I also prefer the aesthetics of that kind of headband design out in public, which is less obtrusive than the standard curves which leaves big gaps around your temples.

    Hi,
I thought I had sent this message as a PM a few weeks ago but since I have received no reply (maybe I messed up I don't do PMs often) but here it is on the thread.
I ordered, and paid for by WayForPay WFP-3883433-5e07956491e60, perforated ear pads for my headphones on 28th December last year.
This is not particularly urgent, since I like the headphones anyway, but when are these likely to be shipped to me?

It is almost 6 months since I paid now and I have received or heard nothing since the receipt.

@Garuspik Can u please guide us on how to appply the felt mod on the magnets? I still dont see any felt here on the mk2. Which material should be used? Use double-sided tape to tape it on the magnets?

    Thanks.

Yeah. You gave up those ex-Soviet nukes on your territory. Having second thoughts?

Do you expect higher or lower sensitivity with V2?

Are you looking for fully pre-aluminized Mylar that you etch? Or do you need the Mylar to have your pattern factory printed?

I’m sorry I have been away from this thread too long. As far as I can tell, V1 mkII is V1 driver with a new headband and case design, and is available now but with some production wait. V2 is a new driver and not yet available. Is that correct?

Although I already own V1, I loaned it to a friend and now he refuses to give it back—so I’ll need to buy a second Verum. But I might wait for V2. Maybe I can help make that happen sooner with some Mylar-sourcing investigation.

I should leave something to modders, agree? ;) Cause after almost two years I haven't seen any single mod of Verum 1.
Yes, glueing felt on magnets make sound better. It works simillar to Audeze fazors. There're 2 variants:

    1. Use scissort and make 14 stripes of felt and glue them on double sided tape.
    2. Buy self-adhesive felt. It is sold in many online and offline shops. 1 sheet should cost couple of dollars.

Higher sensitivity per mW and lower per mV. Cause Verum 2 will have ~ twice higher impedance.

    Yes. Exactly.

    Everything correct.

    V2 isn't soon.

Thanks in advance. I'm very interested.

@Garuspik Just did the felt mod. Let me know what you think?

Also, is it ok if I blow towards the magnet softly?

This might be a sign that you got it right the first time!

Personally, I'm waiting for Verum 2 with higher Z which will probably work better with my SW51.

    Indeed!

I do run Verum 1 modified but none of the customizations are physically altering the core design. What I do is the following:
    1. Soft foam rubber over magnets to decrease reflections. (I sonically prefer soft-foam-based material over felt-based material for that application.)
    2. Single layer of felt instead of two layers underneath grills, to improve on natural airflow, sense of openness, and imaging.
    3. Different pads (Ether leather angled), to smoothen and neutralize frequency response, to decrease unnatural reflections, and to improve imaging.
Still loving the headphone this way!
