    Johnnie Walker Red is the "entry level" JW... It is relatively inexpensive. About the price of a bottle of Maker's Mark and a tad more than Jack Daniels No.7 iirc.

    Every year in my late teens and 20's (I grandfathered for alcohol from 18yo) we'd make a pitcher or giant thermos of frozen piña colada with Myer's Dark & 151 and go to the pool. Man is that a great drink, all the flavor and twice the kick. But it gets hard to stand up from those low deck chairs after awhile…

    Right now? I woke up about 45 min. ago, and I'm having my Noosa Blueberry Yogurt (8 oz) and a Sambazon Acai Berry/Pomegranate low calorie energy drink. :D

    Made a nice old fashioned. Old Forester 100 proof Kentucky Bourbon. bitters, and some sugar I stole from my friends apartment. Served in a 1$ glass from goodwill. While listening to the Talking Heads. Life is good.

    That feeling when... you've had a bottle of very special whiskey saved for a special occasion but you have a severe cold and would probably struggle to tell Jack Daniels from Lagavulin 16. f**k me.

    On the plus side, Jack Daniels is cheaper.

    @donunus

    Nothing wrong with bombay sapphire gin & tonic! A classic for reason.

    Earlier today was finishing a bottle of Teeling’s Single Malt, now moved onto bourbon, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof (B518). I drink all my whiskey neet and yes I use an ‘e’ in the spelling as I hate the taste of Scotch Whisky (Irish taught the Scottish...just sayin, why introduce moss...)

    Very nice 6.4% ale from Rabbit Hole Brewing in Justin, TX (where Justin boots are also made).

    I blame Fun Dip.

    For what its worth, I prefer the Chimay Premiere and the Deus Brut des Flandres when I'm drinking Belgians. Otherwise its Anderson Valley Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout and Oskar Blues 10 Fidy for when I need to get blotto.
