Egan’s 10 yr, it is basically just sourced Cooley’s and tastes a lot like Tyrconnell but has a longer/lingering flavor on the tongue. Wouldn’t recommend with a strong cigar, it’s going well with a Trini Reyes for a good morning/brunch.

Not RIGHT NOW, but had some Tap 357 followed by Ron Zacapa Solera 23 earlier in the night. Surprisingly both went well with a mild but rather complex cigar that I had (expected the sweetness of Tap 357 and the spices/flavors of Zacapa to mess up the subtle flavors in the cigar, but it was actually enhanced by both).

    Dewar's White Label.
Did not really like it at first, then it grew on me. Like how all of that went away on Thursday night. But having a little now again, and it is actually really good. So smooth.

Picked this up for $33. Very good, and nice and inexpensive.

The Temptress, from Lakewood Brewing in Dallas. An imperial milk stout that makes Guinness seem a bit, well, watery tasting. 9.1% ABV.

They do special editions throughout the year, this one's to celebrate Mardi Gras, with bourbon barrel-aged coffee & chicory. It's pretty good, though I prefer the "normal" Temptress.

Spring break was a fun and expensive time (ignore the vodka in the flor de Cana bottle)

What did you think of the K&S relative to the MG XO?

I thought that the K&S was the best, but the XO was a close second. Flor de Cana is still very good though.
I didn't try them side by side, so no direct comparisons, but I think the k&s was the best. I'll have to check out some other stores and get more rum after seeing the vast collection this store had compared to my usual store. They had one bottle that was $200.

Right on. I've thought about picking up a bottle of it for some time, though always thought it may be a bit cheeky considering the name... at least for me. Good to know it stacks up well to the MG, as that's a regular fav.

Yeah, I had to try it, aged 23 years, that's pretty long for a $40 bottle. Plus the bottle looked pretty cool. But it was definatly as good as the mount gay.
I would definitely buy it again, and the price isn't too expensive (though as a college student, it does sometimes seem hard to justify over a $15 handle of vodka)

Water. Lots of water. After spring fling that started on Wednesday to Saturday, I just need water. Water is good.

Amazing Japanese whiskey. Caramel and cherry flavors. Very smooth.
