It's been one of those days where I feel a need to poke into my now-depleted reserve of nice teas, haha. TWG is a favourite of mine, their Silver Moon is absolutely beautiful on the palate but they do a damned good (French, haven't yet tried their English) Earl Grey too. My only real complaint is the cost— they're a "special occasions" make definitely.

Mixed up a couple of Margaritas with some nice Milagro Tequilla. On the rocks. Good for sipping and unwinding after a long week.

Some delicious Guyanan rum... Definitely the best of the El Dorado Rare Collection that I've had so far (Albion, Enmore and Skelton).

Went to a restaurant with my parents, wouldn't serve me because they don't serve until the day after your birthday.
We left and went to a different place, now sipping on a glass of Weller 12. Damn this is good. $300 a bottle though. Seemed cheap so this place, $20 for a glass.

@famish99 had no idea you were such a rum connoisseur. Some nice bottles - envy!

He's a dangerous man to talk to. I'm taking his advice and having a lot of fun trying some of these rums:

Photo from a SMWS tasting kit I tried the other night and Monymusk Rum.
It's very hard to get these boutique Rums in Australia but the SMWS has been featuring some of the stuff Fammy recons is worth trying and have to say that he is not wrong. I'm a mad keen speyside guy and some of these Rums feature all the best quality of top end Scotch with incredible complexity and intense and lingering flavours.

The rabbit hole goes pretty deep. What are some of your favorite bottles?

Enjoying this glass of yamazaki 12. This stuff is good. I might like it better than the Weller 12, but I really like Japanese whiskey.

Coke - went to my first AA meeting in 1995 ha ha ha. (Don't worry, I have been a Stand Up Comic for 40 years and when I was younger, I don't think I paid for a drink for 20 years!! - so I won't die wondering).

I only chime in because it was the Father In Law's 75th birthday the other day and I discovered a couple of things. Firstly, some of the most respected whiskey in the world these days is Japanese - who would have thunk it? Secondly, shelling out $375.00 for a 12 year old bottle of Yamazaki when you don't drink - ouch! :)

Hope everyone is happy and healthy. Turns out Jim Morrison was right - 'Strange Days have found us'.
