Pretty sure I am in a small minority, but I like Van Halen with Sammy better than I like them with David Lee. All great stuff with both front men of course, but I think 5150 is my personal favorite. Adding that to my playlist for today.
I'm not sure you are...I agree they made Diamond Dave work for what they did, and the playing was some of their best, but if I'm being honest, the dude can't sing. That's painfully evident if you've heard him lately...I literally couldn't listen to 'Different Kind of Truth' all the way through. Sammy can sing, and very well for Rock 'N Roll too (IMO)

Ha, Sam and/ or Dave...Van Halen is
His new one sounds pretty good...
Billy Squier always reminds me of The Who concert at the Cotton Bowl in December 1982. He was the final opener for The Who, and got booed off the stage. I felt bad for him; I liked this album.

(...just realising that I still have the T-shirts from that show up in my closet)
I don't know how popular she is, but a new discovery for me:
Finally rested. Brains are working. This song is a good start to get things done...
First woman to ever be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
RIP, You will always be the Queen of Soul to me...
Great performance from 2015, only 3 years ago. She never lost any of that amazing vocal talent...
