Looking for something new to watch. I watch anything, don't really care. Most recent was The Handmaid's Tale. Really good.

The Expanse should be on Amazon by now if you haven't tried it yet. Definitely give it a shot if you like science fiction.

Finished Wynonna Earp a while back. Now I need something else to watch during dinner.

The Handmaid's Tale is on my to-watch list. Probably in the winter when I have more time.

I've heard really good things about The Man in the High Castle. That is on my list too.

Thanks for reminding me about this. I'd only watched up to the end of Season 2.

    On Amazon Prime:

The Man In The High Castle is pretty good but it can be a little slow moving. I thought it took a few episodes to get into it.

Sneaky Pete - I really enjoyed this. Absurd but addicting. I hate waiting for new seasons...

Bosch - I just finished the first season. I thought it was a little disjointed as they tried to make it unpredictable, but I'll probably give the second season a look before I make a real judgement.

Goliath - Overall I liked this. The writing wasn't exceptional, but not horrible either. My opinion was likely influenced by the fact that I really like Billy Bob Thornton.

The Marvelous Mrs Maisel - This was pretty funny and curiously awkward. Not the kind of thing I would normally watch but I found myself marathoning this one.

The Tick - Someone from work recommended this one. I thought it was retarded. But I'm not usually into the whole comic book / superhero thing. Kind of reminded me of Jim Carey in The Mask. I barely made it through the first episode.

Long Strange Trip - I was never much of a Deadhead besides enjoying American Beauty. But this documentary helped me appreciate The Dead a lot more. It's worth it for the episode on the wall of sound alone. Not many rock bands payed attention to live sound quality like The Dead.

    On Netflix:
Better call Saul - Prequel to Breaking Bad. Its probably more of a writing and film technique thing but I really like the style as I did with Breaking Bad. I'm addicted to most of the characters.

Attack On Titan season 3 is pretty great.

Once you understand the story from the manga it only gets better. Not a cheerful story but pretty gripping.

The Man in the High Castle kind of lost me on s2. I completed it, but I the show went a little too far in one direction. Far more than I expected. s1 was very enjoyable.

The Handmaid's Tale I started recently and had trouble staying interested in after 4-5 episodes. It seems like a potentially pretty good series that perhaps just isn't for me.

Prior to trying out The Handmaid's Tale I rewatched s1 of Westworld with the gf and then watched s2. Loved it all the way through. Really curious what they're going to with s3. Prior to Westworld I watched Game of Thrones s1-7 for the first time and loved that as well. Very excited for the finale next year.

Not really sure what to start on next. A lot of the time it's watching with the SO and our tastes don't quite align so choices feel a bit limited at times. I'm into scifi, cyberpunk, dystopian, fantasy, horror, etc. Less into comedy. Comedy being a part of any series is quite okay as long as it's not the main focus.

@Erikdayo check out altered carbon. Sci fi, dystopian society series, which I loved.

I actually did watch about half of Altered Carbon and really liked what I saw. The episode with Babymetal as background music and that sweet backpack really got me too. I only stopped watching because I was watching with a friend, and we for whatever reason never got back to it. I'll finish it on my own soon. Perhaps this coming weekend! Good call.

Looking through my external drive at some stuff I have downloaded but have not gotten around to watching yet. House of Cards, The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, Oz. I like watching series after they have ended, or are getting close, that way I can watch at my own pace and not have to wait from week to week for new episodes. There is also never any shortage of stuff to watch that way.

Oh, and another one worth checking out is Black Mirror. I believe it is on Netflix now. If you like Twilight Zone or Outer Limits type stuff it carries on in that genre.

@crazychile , 1st season of Bosch is easily the weakest. The show really finds its voice later on and is good for repeat watching.

I enjoyed Bosch too. Black mirror is also another great show, and I too prefer waiting for shows to end before watching as I have no patience to wait for the next season.

I made that mistake with Lost, kept hearing how good it was so binge watched the first 4 seasons, then I was caught up and had to wait week to week, and season to season. Same with GOT. Watched the first four seasons in the span of a couple weeks. And now here I am waiting for S07 with everyone else LOL.

That is a good thing about shows like Black Mirror, Outer Limits etc. They are not serialized so every episode is kind of self contained. You can start and stop at anytime, even watch episodes in the middle of a season and it does not matter.

GOT fans should check out The Last Kingsom (Netflix) and Vikings (Prime). Both are supposed to be somewhat historically accurate fiction.

The Last Kingdom has 2 seasons. 3rd comes out later this year. The first two are excellent. Vikings was a History channel series, so has cuts for commercials. I’m only partially thru season 2, so hopefully it stays good through all 5.

Any western fan should check out Godless. Really excellent character development. Just a 1 season show. I really enjoyed it.

Yellowstone has been pretty good so far. I'll also second The Expanse, great show. I'm glad Amazon picked it up when it got cancelled. Westworld is good too, especially the first season.

Also, as far as comedies, I've been enjoying Detroiters and Wellington Paranormal.

I generally like the dystopian stuff, not a big sci-fi guy. Even though the two are often mixed. "Colony" was interesting, I think I liked the premise more than the execution, but I'm sure I'll check out the next season when it's out.

I also normally like to wait until a series has run it's course before viewing, I did that with Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy and Mad Men. But eventually I find myself running out of stuff and then get drawn into a first or second season program. By the time a new season comes out I have to go back to the end of a previous season to refresh on all the plot details i've forgotten about.
