I’m watching it now. It’s entertaining. Nothing groundbreaking.

If you like the idea of a steam punk show then it’s kinda neat. It’s a little on the nose with the contemporary political parallels/commentary.

Lots of naked Cara Delevigne which was surprising

I enjoyed carnival row, but I'm not hyping it up to my friends and trying to get them to watch it either.

One of my first and most enjoyable Netflix dalliances was the singularly weird and compelling Australian reanimation drama, GLITCH. I tore through both seasons like my pants were on fire. The show really got to me: it has fine acting, writing, and novel approach to reanimation somewhat comparable to the great French series, LES REVENANTS (The Returned). That's high praise...

It certainly didn't hurt that English actress, Emily Barclay, playing the 2nd wife of the main character, creates a character unlike any I've seen before. I found her unreadable, opaque, magnetic, unpredictable (all of which goes perfectly with the odd development of her role here). And 1 or 2 other characters are nearly as compelling.

All to say--just received Netflix' email that Season 3 of GLITCH is now available. It really makes my day!

I can't remember the last time I was physically enraged by a show but Goliath S2 had me wanting to curse out the creative team behind this trash.

I f'ing loved S1, and while S2 was an obvious dip in quality, it still had enough going for it that kept me fairly interested and sometimes even riveted.

That changed in the last two episodes with some of the worst writing I have ever witnessed on a TV show. The penultimate episode was clunky, weird and full of absolutely bizarre character and plot beats, with some major holes. But the finale was jaw dropping in its incompetence and sheer disregard for anything logical. Some of it was downright upsetting... at how badly they shit the bed. They not only didn't stick the landing, they crashed the plane into the airport and killed everyone in the vicinity. Holy shit it was bad. It's all the worse given how amazing the first season was.

I'm honestly wary of what they've cooked up for S3 but I may be masochistic enough to give it a chance.

My friend is one of the main actors on the show and was very upset upon receiving the last few scripts.

    Supposedly S3 will be better...

My son and I watch a single show on Prime before getting ready to hit the hay. Right now, we are on Magnum P.I. (original, of course). Since we are on the final season, I asked him, "What next?" He said, "Burn Notice." YES! It will be the 3rd time going through Burn Notice, but I don't care! I love that show.

For my own private time, I've been going through "The Blacklist." Love that James Spader!

BURN NOTICE was so much fun when it started. A novel idea, droll plot & witty acting. Having Bruce Campbell onboard was part of the fun, for sure.

Man, you are SO right! I'm still not recovered from my 1st viewing of THE EVIL DEAD...a brilliant & subversive film.

Anybody feel the love for DRAG ME TO HELL, Raimi's 2009 film? I did like that one. It has some of the same creepy/borderline funny vibe as T.E.D. And I found the main character's antics weirdly amusing at times (though no one can top Bruce Campbell for casual irony).

    Indeed. Old but gold.

Oh yes, this one I remember. The old gypsy lady, goats etc. Was enjoyable.

So I'm going back through Entourage which was one of my favorite shows back in the LA days while I was trying to get my movie career going.

I didn't expect it to age well but it surprisingly holds up. Still funny, totally inappropriate, and often compelling. Each episode is short enough and self contained enough not to require a big commitment and Vinnie Chase's journey is still really compelling and fun to watch.

And Ari Gold is still the best thing about the show and probably one of the best TV characters ever created.

Top Boy on Netflix is great. The Wire, set in London but focusing only on the gangs, not the cops. Very well written and made.

    1. Never heard of this show, despite prowling the backwaters of Netflix for good series/movies
    2. Just researched TOP BOY--one of the highest rated series around on IMDB.com
    3. Just added this to My List (it's right up my alley)
    Thanks!

    ...re other streaming stuff

I continue to enjoy & admire STRANGER THINGS. The writing & ensemble acting still satisfy. S-2 not quite at the high level of S-1, but then, few things are. "Kids on bikes" are so not my thing, but these characters have totally gotten to me...

Similar comment for S-3 of GLITCH, a compact Australian series about reanimation/rebirth that packs a punch. S-2 reached a fever-pitch at the end. S-3 is down somewhat but still engrossing. I've become invested in this procession of Aussie character actors, one better than the next.

I continue to enjoy the French policier, BLACK SPOT. It's dark, tense, surprising. The setting (believe it's the Ardennes Forest, in which so many died in WWI) is a main character here: dense, dimly lit, menacing.

And still enjoying the German time travel tangle, DARK. By S-1/E-10, the time travel plots are intertwining in ways I really can't follow, but that's OK: the mood, dark tone, and doomed feel of these characters ensnared me. As with so many foreign series, I'm seeing an entire cast of splendid character actors who are completely unfamiliar, but unforgettable.

Dude thank you for bringing up Dark. I forgot all about it, now I just started. What caught my attention is its billed as a Twin Peaks+Stranger Things show. I love the original Twin Peaks, didn't care too much about Stranger Things.

@ColtMrFire have you seen this show yet? Opinions?
