Withdrawn: Schiit Jot 2

Just received the Jot 2 yesterday and am thoroughly disappointed. This is not even close to the Bryston BHA-1 IMO. I had hoped to save a ton of money, but apparently money will buy you something better. No DAC module in this one and it is black. Should also add that I bought it from a user here, so it is in reasonable used condition, not brand new of course.


You're definitely going to love it, though. Just don't put it next to a Bryston BHA-1.

Not sure how to handle this properly, but I think I owe an explanation here rather than just closing the thread. This got a reasonable amount of attention so I don't want people using this OP as an irrefutable data point to make decisions.

Previously, I was using the 1/4" unbalanced stock Focal cable with my Clear. The stock balanced cable broke sometime ago so I wasn't able to use it. I finally received a new balanced cable from Periapt last week. Well, my opinions have changed a lot.

The Bryston is better than the Jot when using the stock single-ended Focal cable. However, it gets much closer and the Jot improves A LOT when using this balanced Periapt cable. So, I am going to withdraw this sale for now until I can spend a bit more time deciding which of my headphone amps I cannot live without. Apologies for being too quick to use my jump to conclusions mat.
