    Hey guys!

I'm buying @Mystic 's HD800S tomorrow, so I'm looking for some shit to do it justice.

Mainly, I'm looking for a Bifrost 2 and an amp. I've been looking at the RebelAmp, Flux labs FA-12 or FA-10, Raggy v1, ect. I'm not trying to go all in and get above a grand with the amp (otherwise I'd be looking for that BHA-1.)

If you guys got any suggestions, I'm good with those too. I was looking at the Dangerous Music Source as a good AIO for it.

    Anyway, let me know!

The Cavalli Liquid Crimson and on OG Gungnir Multibit were just brilliant with the HD800S. I sold both off in a fit of down scaling. The BF2 is an excellent choice, and is what I replaced the Gungnir Multibit with. I replaced the Cavalli with a Jot2. I’m happy with it. It is not a replacement for the Cavalli in the same way that the BF2 is a replacement for the Gungnir Multibit. Jot2 and HD800S are a good combo. Pluses are good tight bass control, quality and quantity, plankton and detail, tone. Minuses are staging, air and “holographic “ imaging. None of the minuses are significant enough in magnitude to make me ditch the amp. It’s a good pairing. I’d most certainly listen to other recommendations before I ran out to buy one specifically for the HD800S, though that is what I did.

Thank you! I've been looking at the Jot 2 as well. I'm leaning towards a RebelAmp though (as I found a seller,) but I can't seem to find many comparisons between it and the Jot 2.

I've seen some recommendations for the Lake People G111 (but who knows if the op-amps are implemented well enough,) and, oddly enough, saw some people say the Dangerous Music Source works pretty well as a AIO (and that is oddly the cheapest option.)

The amount of options that have come up since the last time I even had a HD800 have gone up quite a bit. Use to be pretty straight forward, haha.

I’d suggest having a look around for an ECP Torpedo III for HD800s.

If you are still looking at Lake People and Dangerous, I have some impressions posted on my blog.

Hope those may help give you a feel for character.

I use Senn HD 600s with a modded Musical Fidelity amp that I am happy with although I did like the SW51 with them as well. since I only listen to cans about an hour or less per day, I tend to keep things firmly on the value side of the field.
