Width doesn't mean accuracy. Maxvla really nailed it on Chang in his review:

The BW has a bit of the spatial magic of the better EC amps.

Two chassis. No one outside of Marv has heard the single chassis version. We did talk today, though, and he mentioned the secret special stuff that makes the BW so awesome is still intact but with a better power supply now.

It matters who's reviewing, and what you know about their preferences and ability to discern.

This new BW worth considering even if you already have one from the first run?

Probably shouldn't, but it would match so well with a Gungnir Multibit!

So is it 100 for this initial run of the BW mk2? Or is it 100, then no more?

Order form successfully sent for a BW v2 with the balanced inputs option. I think I can safely say that's the most excited I've been to send an email in quite some time! : )

I am out of my freaking mind... but I can't resist... limited editions...order form sent.

Also @insidious meme , I'm going to be your twin as I intend to pick up a HD650 later next year to have a dynamic & planar set. And then, a DIY tube amp.

Oh why, oh why did I get back into this hobby?!

I suspect they'll do another run if they can, but there are some parts they only can source enough for this run of 100 right now. They'll either have to redesign or seriously find some secret stash if they want to make more.

For those waiting on the copperhead, its a good amp but I'd pick the BW if you're using even modded HD800s.

Would there be any benefit running Gungnir Multibit balanced to the BW? Do any possible negatives of having the transformers negate the benefits of running Gungnir Multibit balanced?

That's because everyone using a GSX was upgrading from a Gilmore Lite, watching paint dry for 10+ years, whilst the GSX was getting outdated, even before it's own paint could dry.

    So, it's relative for them.

BW2 order form in, with XLR feature added.
Send it to Craig and Judi first, who then said send to Marv- so I did that also ha!

BW2 with the XLR via high quality transformers for me.

    Why?
In room (power, computer, Yggdrasil, etc) I need a transformer of some kind in SE RCA chain from Yggdrasil to BW1, to get a dead black background.
(No music playing, volume knob cranked has fuzz and crackling without JKAudio Pureformer)

and going Yggdrasil Bal XLR out to Jensen PC-2XR to SE in BW1. Black background, no fuzz.

So BW2 allows 1 pair of XLR cables from Yggdrasil to BW2 and provides high quality transformers to boot.
A cleaner, simpler implementation for me due to crappy power or ground loop or aliens or NSA snoop devices in the room.
    YMMV

Just wondering, will the transformers be offered as an external upgrade? (Separate box). Would be nice to use it with all SE amps the way you use the BW-1 (2 chassis).

Rag had a somewhat small stage based on my brief listens. It's also a pretty sharp and incisive sounding amp. BW seemed to have more of that holographic tube-like staging, though not quite as good as a good tube amp offers. It also has a wonderful tone and is quite technically competent. I honestly found it hard to listen to the GSX. Wide stage doesnt matter for shit if everything sounds like it went through sand paper first.

Count me as another who goes from balanced Gungnir Multibit to Jensen Isobox to BW. What I hear is a bit more clarity compared to S from Gungnir Multibit straight to BW. The only thing I noticed is that I had turn up the voume dial a bit more compared to

Geez, Jex, I.have the same issue with my Gungnir Multibit to my BW1. Marv clarified that the Jensen Isobox lifts the ground loop that I am experiencing.

Just bought the Liquid Carbon so don't think I can justify buying another amp.... unless somebody can convince me otherwise :D
