Simply a good try to get the biggest amount of money out of the money bags of their customers. And no, this has nothing to do with diminishing returns.

Name one HiFiMan product that didn't have HiFiMan build problems. Every time a new product is released someone hopes for this, but let's be fair, they don't care to create a product that eliminates most common build quality issues. If they did then they would have done so by now.
