ZMF New Headphones: Vérité and Aeolus

Hey @zach915m, just catching up on the thread. Did you become a Noctua dealer or something? Maybe you could make them an optional extra for all your open-backs

I'll have some impressions to post after ZMFestivus.

 

On topic:

ZMF has been releasing several models in a "short period" of time. I am glad with this, although i would hope the prices would be a bit lower i understand the unique look, and performance, of their items. I am curious about them and i wish i was in the US to actually give them a try.

I don't know about you but...i hate Noctua color scheme. If you want something as good, silent, reliable, with good pressure, buy the Bequiet ones.
Before ppl start ralling, i have both brands, several fans of each actually, and i every time i looked at my PC it felt like a punch on the stomach to look at that melted ice-cream god awful colors. I did my research, tried several and the one that ticks all the points are the Silent Wings. I still use a nh-l9x65 but i swapped the fan with a silent wings one.

Haha yeah that Brown and khaki scheme doesn't match with what most people have going on. My case is all black with rgb. I figured I could just put them in the front slots and nobody would see them.

 

They make them in black too.

 

Running Silent Platinum level power supplies helps too. Either the fanless ones or the ones where Fan can be switched to lowest or ECO mode. Not only are they quieter but power is cleaner and better regulated. And they are a lot less than an LPS!

I'm sure they're awesome fans, and I'll get them eventually. The colors are strange though.

For whoever gets to test the Aeolus, I have a couple questions for after.

Do they sound like a Atticus/Eikon middle ground? With the extended treble and sub-bass, that's what I'm imagining, and could be exactly what I'm looking for.

Mine has a touch more treble than my Eikon. Sounds more detailed. I think if an Atticus and Eikon had mad freaky sex on spring vacation after a night of binge drinking and doing lines of coke, then parted ways never to see each other again, and the Atticus got pregnant, and eventually the Atticus' parents made it give up the baby to a loving and nurturing HD800 SDR mod adoptive family where it learned the way of open sound and detail... Yeah, it's like that. But not. Not at all. I don't know.
