I received my set of SuperBAF Mod, my HD800S was shipped from Jan Meier last week, and I'm also expecting a DNA Stratus with EML 5U4G Mesh and Shuguang Natural Sound 2A3C-T quite soon. Very excited at what I'm about to hear.

So why would you want to buy a German made headphone?

Because I'm a very complex person who makes deeply nuanced decisions. Also, shut up. ;)

strange. i would have gone with simple and ignorant.

i've bought three hd800s from jan over the years at a price no one in the us could touch. three day shipping to atlanta each time. no interest in the hd800s but he is the first and only person i would purchase from.

I understand that American humor can be seen as juvenile and facile sometimes, so I'll forgive you. This time. Next time, drones.

This is a prime example of where smilies can help to fill in where the 2-dimensional exchange of text on the screen, can be expanded into at least into a 3rd - dimension (humor, in this case, or any attempt at it…) of a multi-dimensional function we all have of communicating (emotional, body posture, voice inflection, etc. etc.), including such subtle aspects as "juvenile and facile" humor.

And some just want to shake up the 'status quo'.

Yes smilies can go a LONG way in helping to fill in some of the missing aspects of 'normal' person to person communication.

If you're anything like me you'll still be dedicating most of your listening time to the LSR305 :p
