FS: MHDT Paradisea 3 NOS DAC with GE JAN 5670w

I bought this DAC with the plan of replicating the mods done by @Erroneous (who graciously shared detailed info and photos with me). Here is the original listing: MHDT Labs Paradisea 3 DAC For Sale - US Audio Mart

I ultimately decided though that I did not quite have a project in me and wanted to go in a different direction. By all accounts, this DAC can really level up in performance with some tweaks.

DAC is in great shape, but the top acrylic cover does have some swirls/marks from the original owner. Don't buy it if that is going to bug ya. Still looked great sitting in my audio rack after I cleaned it all up with some alcohol wipes (came a bit dusty from the original owner).

Stock it's ok. If you're willing to do a few things to it, it gets a lot better. This is for people who value tone over absolute resolution. But damn it's nice. @famish99 is currently borrowing mine and owns a Wavedream. He has said he hasn't felt compelled to kick the Paradisea out of his system. Perhaps that's some laziness, but it's also just a very agreeable listen.

 

Indeed, with a little work, this little guy will give you pretty damn good sound.

 

So tempting…no buyers yet???
