FS: Schiit Yggdrasil OG/A2/Unison

For sale: Schiit Yggdrasil OG/A2/Unison in silver - $1,500 plus shipping to Friends and known Contributors in the continental United States. I will eat any PayPal fees.











I purchased this new from Schiit for $2,299 in November 2017. This was one of the first units sold with a “B” serial number, denoting the Analog 2 (A2) board.

In November/December 2020, I sent the unit back to Schiit to perform a factory install of the Unison USB card ($200), which replaced the Gen 5 USB card that this unit originally came with. Schiit also replaced the original black chasis with a silver chassis at that time ($250).

This unit will be shipped in the original box from Schiit and will include a power cable and the original Gen 5 USB card.

This unit is priced for a quick sale! I would love to keep this awesome DAC in our community.

Gotta make room for the MIL-B...

 

Buy this DAC, then purchase a MIL-B analog output card when they become available. The cards are interchangeable within the Yggdrasil, so you can decide which flavor you like better.

The OG analog output cards, by themselves, go for $850 new on the Schiit website. I’d expect the MIL-B cards, when they are available, to go for something closer to $550 (the current price of the LIM card).

Even if the future owner of this DAC decides to buy the $599 Yggdrasil+ chasis upgrade, this DAC with the + chasis upgrade will still cost $700 less than a brand new Yggdrasil+ OG in silver ($2,799). With that $700 in savings, you can get the MIL-B card, have both analog card flavors for less than the price of a new Yggdrasil+ OG and probably still have enough cash left over to buy a bottle of Lagavulin 16.

Such a deal.

 

Agree, in all cases you're better not selling the chassis.

If you sell the OG A2 (+1500) then buy a new Yggydrasil+ MIL-B silver (~ -2650) the net cost is $1150, and you only have MIL-B.

If you keep current OG and upgrade to Yggdrasil+ (-600) and get MIL-B boards (est. -550) the net cost is $1150 but you still have your A2 cards which may be valuable once A2 goes OOP, so you sell those and get $550-850, lowerig your net to $300-600. Or of course you keep both sets of cards.

 

I’m waiting for the A1 boards to become fotm again so i can sell those, i will age those boards like a fine whiskey. They’re even in a wooden drawer.

 

TLDR: Buy this F!$king dac while the buying is good.
